Long Time Jamf User and wouldn't use anything else
What do you like best about the product?
The sheer ease it is to manage various aspects of Mac/iOS Devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can not think of anything at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a world were Security has become so important. The use of configuration profiles and ability to use Custom Extension Attributes has made a daunting task something so simple.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf makes managing devices really easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes updates contain UI/UX issues, but that’s normal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing devices, deploying apps, deploying profiles

What do you like best about the product?
Using jamf pro will make any Mac Admin job 100% easier. It has all of the tools you need to manage Mac users in a small environment to users in a global company. With the ease of use you will make the Windows Admins jealous.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things that can be challenging if you use it is making sure your scripting is decent. If it had more templates it would be perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My deployment process has become much easier and flawless. I’m also able to push out policies that enable our corporate Macs to join our production WiFi. Without it I wouldn’t be able to push the necessary certs.
User-Friendly and Secure Management for Mass Mac Deployments
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jamf allows me to use virtually any tool I want and is incredibly user-friendly. The smart groups make everything worth it, and the initial setup was amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
it's hard to customize built in tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf helps manage 1,500 Macs globally, addresses macOS security, including OS and app patching, and is user-friendly, allowing me to use virtually any tool. Smart groups make everything worth it.
Perfect tool for Apple device management (& achieving Cyber Essentials with your Mac/iOS estate)
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, simple to deploy (fantastic workflows available for enrolling new users, and delivering everything they need for on boarding), and ideal from a Cyber Security perspective!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no real downside that I can see...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Minimising device management overheads (i.e. staff time spent managing the internal device estate), and meeting the requirements of Cyber Essentials.
The best Apple management platform out there!
What do you like best about the product?
The feature set, zero day support and their super amazing support and success teams make using Jamf Pro an absolute breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notifications are sometimes hit and miss with content and visibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's given us the ability to perform zero-touch deployments for new starters, a huge time saver and a better experience for everyone involved. We are sure that every device we deploy has all of the security and compliance policies deployed right from the moment they are turned on!
The best product for managing Apple devices
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf has been managing Apple products longer than anyone else on the market. Not only do they have the best Mac Management system, they also have the largest community: Jamf Nation, where you can ask any Apple management question and get answers from people who deal with them everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the cloud hosted environment can be slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing about 1000 Macs and 12,000 iOS devices at 150 locations. Anything we can do to cut back on trips to a site helps us greatly.
JAMF is reliable, flexible, unique and a must for any Mac Admin!
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using JAMF Software for almost 10 years now. I led districts deploying full one to one device rollouts of MacBooks and iPads back to the days before there even was a product called a MacBook Air and iPads were still very new. I have seen the struggles and rewards of one to one deployments and JAMF has been there every step of the way. As the years have gone by and I continued using JAMF, I watched as it grew in popularity and reliability. Through it all I can honestly say that the company and the product are strong factors in why I have stayed in Mac Administration as many years as I have.
The product itself gets better year by year. In the early days there were some shaky deployment times and bugs, but they have always been quick to patch and offer top level support for any issues that we faced. Nowadays JAMF is day one support and deployment ready. When managing over 6,000 Apple products across 11 sites that is a must! Users want the latest and greatest from Apple, and JAMF makes sure we can offer that but also keep machines compliant and secure with day 1 compatibility. Speaking of compliance, JAMF gives us all the tools we need to make sure our devices are locked down and can only be used by the users we assign them to. We also have all the tools needed to keep their data safe and secure. And if a device goes missing, we can use the toolset in JAMF to lock, locate and recover the device. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this product and company. The size of deployment I have been able to deploy and refresh yearly would have simply been impossible without JAMF. There maybe other MDM solutions out there, but none of them have the full feature set that JAMF gives me to keep my endusers and machines in a happy state.
JAMF is more than a product though. It’s a family of Mac Admins who love Apple. JAMF is both the company employees and their customers together. We all support each other through the community forum called JAMF Nation. Users can offer tips and support to one another, report bugs or concerns and simply geek out about Apple administration. JAMF employees also join in there and connect in ways I have not seen other companies do. They even have a site called JAMF Heroes that allow employees and customers to connect even more deeply in an almost Facebook kind of fashion while keeping it focused, fun and professional. Calling support is also a win as I have always gotten top level support and my issues or concerns resolved quickly and efficiently.
In closing, JAMF is more than a product or company. It is a family and is simply a must for anyone who has Apple devices in their organization and wants them to be safe and secure. 10/10

What do you dislike about the product?
Well, I guess if I had to say something, I do not like the fact that they took away dedicated support techs by customer. Years ago you had a tech that you can reach out to consistently for issues. Now you get a new person every call. I understand the need for the change but it was nice speaking to that one personal who knew you and your environment well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m solving the issue of trying to manage 6,000+ devices with a handful of people. That is also the benefit, as you can achieve support for large amounts of devices with limited staff.

If you are unsure if it's the correct fit for you, reach out to the company and sit in on the many webinars that they host.

Deployment and GDPR compliance while making the experience simple for the end user. It’ enables you to empower the user while ticking all compliance boxes
jamf Pro is flexible management tool, that just works
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is the most power and flexible management tool. If it is not already capable of doing what you want, you can add in a extension attribute or scrip to make it do exatly what you need. If you not sure how its done the Jamf Nation community is in full force ready and willing to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The patch management for me is the only weak point. It does keeping software up-to-date on your Mac but it could be slicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self Service is our power app, helps our users feel enpowered. Jamf has helped us do exactly that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jamf Pro offers the best "out of box" experiences in my opinion. Official training is always a good idea, having someone on staff certified help drive the way.
