Best option for managing Macs
What do you like best about the product?
The device setup is definitely what I like best. We are growing rapidly and have remote employees located around the country. It saves us a ton of time and effort when setting up new computers. It also saves us a ton of headaches if we ever need to ship a new computer to a remote user.
What do you dislike about the product?
Web interface feels fairly outdated and clunky. Not easy to find what you're looking for without checking documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Device setup for new computers (or computers with macOS reinstalled)
-Making apps available through Self Service
-Forcing updates

Intuitive, Friendly, and the most powerfull Mac Computers management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is clean, neat, and allows you to do complex tasks with simple clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The device search is not very intuitive and helpful. The patch management is not very powerful .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device unboxing. Compliance checks and remediation. Security policies. Improve User experience with Self Service.
Best management software for Mac
What do you like best about the product?
With Jamf Pro a lot of features come out of the box. It always supports new functions, which apple makes available for managing devices, from day one. It also has a lot of nice additional features like Patch Management, a nice in-house App Store and I love the option to extend inventory through Extension Attributes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much. However I would like to see some more options for user interaction when it comes to Patch Management. Right now you can either force the updates (with the downside of data loss at the users end) or make it available at the in-house App Store (which some users will never use).
I need a feature which "bugs" the user to update, but at his time of choosing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use a very nice ThinProvisioning process with Jamf Pro. It works perfectly. It needs a lot of scripting and doesn't come out of the box, if you need to adapt Macs to your environment very specifically. However, you can do a lot with scripting and together with Jamf Pro, it all works together flawlessly.
Also deploying software or settings with Jamf Pro makes your sysadmin life so much easier.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it! But be aware, you only get everything out of it, if you can script or code!
Jamf Pro: "The" Premier management solution for Apple devices
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro enables the ability to manage thousands of devices with minimal employees and creates a platform unmatched in the segment. The control and tools you have allow tasks to be completed in a matter of seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support could be better when calling or submitting a ticket, feature requests take forever to be implemented, this is more due to Apple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro has allowed management of 400 Macs and 5000 iPads with a small team of 4 people, allowing us to restrict software updates, push apps, block various tools, etc.
There are lots of reasons why they are the industry standard for Apple management
What do you like best about the product?
A company focused solely on managing apple products in both Enterprise and Educational markets. 0 Day support for all Apple releases, a thriving user community, and an outward dedication to making Apple just work at scale!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are always wants and feature requests. I'm not sure I dislike anything. perhaps more regular updates on the roadmap for old feature requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are easier to list than the problems we solve with JAMF Pro. I am able to deploy and manage all Apple devices for our institution (~1k devices) throughout their entire lifecycle. Whatever our institution needs our devices to do, I can manage it through JAMF Pro. Deploy 400 Student computers in a day, no problem. Need a lockdown browser deployed for testing next week on BYOD devices; Piece of cake... and so on. Really, JAMF makes the seemingly crazy IT requests as simple as they can be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look around, but the rest of the industry isn't focused on Apple the way JAMF is.
Jamf offers the most complete solution for most organizations. It is also the easiest to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily spin up cloud instances, and migrate to cloud instances. I also like that it makes it easy for organizations to meet compliance and security goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Patch Management functionality and use. The definitions should be more programatic to be automated with JSSImporter and AutoPkg. The functionality should be more like updates in Munki.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I help to solve security, compliance, deployment, and convenience issues for Linde Group clients every day. This covers a wide range of topics. We also use it and love it internally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To consider the entire device management lifecycle, and see how many vendors do not measure up against the requirements of most organizations.
JAMF Pro is best for Apple Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that with Apple Business Manager and JAMF you can ship a computer directly to an end user and the computer can be set by them with all their apps, email, printers, and security policies with out touching IT's hands.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the pricing for SMB and Mid market customers could be a bit more aggressive compared to other offerings on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time provisioning iPads and Macs for new users.
JAMF Pro
What do you like best about the product?
I like how granular JAMF is compared to other MDM solutions and you can’t find a better community.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be expensive and there’s a bit of a learning curve. JAMF nation is not the easiest to search with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that I can push apps, security settings, printers, and more. If a device is lost or stolen, I can easily disable and track it. I’ve reduced how much time I have to spend with each device considerably—it’s a game changer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With some training, it’s one of the best management tools for Apple products hands down.
Jamf Pro Review
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and knowledgeable support staff. I can't stress enough how awesome the support is. We just suddenly moved to integrating macs with our all PC setup and Jamf has been integral in making this happen smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that in my version of Jamf Pro, 10.15, I can't see all the buildings. Only the first 100 or so show up and we were told it was a bug. It's difficult to keep them cleaned up without being able to see them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping iPads and macs secure and controlled, and making sure our necessary medical apps are up to date and accessible by staff.
Jamf Pro is a Must for Apple Device Management

Being able to manage thousands of devices with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I think it takes too many clicks to complete a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying apps and settings to thousands of devices.
