What I like best is its ability to automate resource allocation decisions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments without manual intervention. While IBM Turbonomic offers powerful optimization capabilities, the initial setup and integration can be complex, especially in large, multi-cloud environments. The learning curve for new users is somewhat steep, requiring time to fully understand and trust the platform’s automation recommendations. Additionally, the user interface, while functional, could be more intuitive and modernized to enhance overall usability.

I used it so well and the UI part is so cool so that i was able to learn it fast.

What I like best about IBM Turbonomic is that it helps keep our applications running smoothly without needing a lot of manual work. It automatically adjusts resources like memory and CPU, so we don’t have to constantly monitor or fine-tune things. It works well across different environments—whether it's in the cloud or on-prem—and gives helpful suggestions that are easy to understand and follow. Overall, it makes managing our systems much easier and more efficient.

It can take a little time to learn how to use it, especially in the beginning.

IBM Turbonomic helps save us tons of cloud resources using its AI technology. It helps us in reduced costs.

It's quite complex to set up for a small project. Not suitable to small solutions/products that are intended for a small group of users otherwise it may be expensive and not worth it.

IBM Turbonomic uses AI tools and help monitor cloud resources in a much better way helping manage computes and cost cutting. It helps us very much in cost cutting.

Turbonomic is not a monitoring tool, it is an automation tool.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Turbonomic is the ease of configuring the necessary automations for our environment. This makes the work much easier, bringing labor savings and agility to the processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I see no disadvantage in Turbonomic. The disadvantage, in fact, is not using all the functions that the tool offers you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Turbonomic is showing the savings we can make in the infrastructure, as well as helping in troubleshooting various problems and errors in applications. It can show the entire application path and where there is a bottleneck, for example, which facilitates a quicker solution in a crisis moment.
right tool for the job
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is very helpful when you have a mixed virtual environment. IE fast/slow storage, different clock speed CPUs.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my use case we had all flash storage, and all the same CPU. We had to maintain specific settings as most of our virtual machines are considered medical devices. It would be nice to say these virtual machines will always keep these resources, so ignore them.

Know when to add more resources to the underlying infrastructure for our environment.
