Perfect Solution for SOC 2 Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance, and it efficiently handles everything related to policies, risks, and other MDM. I reaflly like how everything about Vanta contributes to its efficiency, especially in precise areas. The initial setup was good and easy, and the integration with other tools is very beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Add support option to make things easy for non technical user

I use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance. It solves all problems related to policies, risks, and other MDM efficiently.
Streamlined Compliance with Intuitive Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Vanta sends reminders timely and that the site is easy to use. They provide detailed guidelines and templates for items needed, which helped us improve our HIPAA compliance by flagging items missing documentations. It's also great that they provide templates we can use for process documents needed. The initial setup was very easy because they are also hands-on during onboarding, conducting 1:1 calls to help us set up.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps with monitoring compliance of employees, flagging risks, and improving our HIPAA compliance by identifying documentation gaps. It provides timely reminders and offers templates and guidelines that make the site easy to use.
Streamlined Compliance with Some UI Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Vanta integrates well with stuff like Slack, making it easier to use alongside the tools I'm already using. I also appreciate its relatively clean layout, which helps me understand what I need to do more clearly. Plus, I like that Vanta figures out the compliance requirements for me, so I'm not combing through tons of documentation to work out what needs to be done to stay compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's got a kind of confusing user interface. Like, I feel like it's somewhat challenging to navigate sometimes. And it breaks things down into controls and tests and documents and whatever. I kind of don't get it. I would just like for there to be a big section that's like, here's what you have to do. Sometimes it feels like I'm hunting through random corners to find the things that I have to do to be compliant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for SOC 2, CMMC 2, and security and compliance. It integrates well with Slack and has a relatively clean layout. It figures out compliance requirements without having to search through documentation.
Efficient and Effective Compliance Management with Minor Glitches
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Vanta is efficient to navigate back and forth. I also appreciate the feature that allows integration with multiple applications and core systems of companies, which helps in checking most of the security tasks required, like quarterly or annually. This really helps in making sure that the compliance program is proactively being worked on. The initial setup was super easy, and it makes everything related to compliance much more manageable for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's just a few bugs. In my experience, it's just one bug that I've encountered so far. It was the adding of the subprocessors in the trust center and removing a vendor does not have any sort of mechanism to prompt the user or an admin that by removing your vendor, it would also remove the subprocess in the trust center.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta automates compliance tests and control mappings for raised risks. It efficiently integrates with applications, enhancing security tasks management like quarterly requirements, making compliance programs proactive and comprehensive.
Streamlined Compliance, Easy Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta's integration with our core infrastructure like AWS and MongoDB Atlas, keeping our infrastructure configuration aligned with security objectives and compliance policies. They have great automated tests and their document templates are really helpful. I also love the way they present all evidence neatly to auditors, making audits a breeze. The initial setup was super easy, and their partner Cognisys helped us get certified from scratch in just six weeks. Every integration comes with a very clear onboarding guide that makes getting started straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with GitLab does not detect merging rules defined on repository groups. We have a common group-based security policy for merging rules, but Vanta only detects the rules on a specific repository. This leads to false positive flags indicating that some repos don't have the four eyes principle enforced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta monitors our compliance for ISO and GDPR from technical and organizational perspectives and makes audits super smooth.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Vanta to be incredibly helpful as a GRC platform, especially in making compliance standard achievements less painful and reducing manual work. I particularly appreciate the framework mapping and how it clearly outlines required tasks. It's great because it makes it easier for someone without a legal background to understand what controls we need to meet or tasks to complete and links them to the relevant standards and clauses. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, although the integration took some time.

Optimizes Compliance but Needs More Flexibility for Startups
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Vanta integrates into all our systems and gives us a holistic overview of everything going on in the company. It's like having a huge checklist that shows us how compliant we are right now and what we need to work on. The automation of tests and the way it shows what we can and need to do is really helpful. The initial setup was pretty easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's sometimes the policies and the tests are suited for companies that are maybe from a larger size. And we as a startup, sometimes had struggles to kinda adopt those policies, tests, and the things towards something that makes sense and is reasonable to what's our size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think Vanta gives a helpful initial overview of tasks for GDPR compliance, integrates into systems for a holistic view, and automates compliance tests, though adapting templates to our small startup size is challenging.
Seamless Audit Management and Integration Champion
What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta for framework and audit management, access management, vendor management, and risk management. I find it really underpins everything for us. It centralizes compliance and helps us be continuously audit-ready, which is amazing for audit management. Working with auditors familiar with Vanta makes it so much easier. It has reduced the need for additional evidence during audits, which is helpful since the Infosec team is primarily just myself. The Slack integrations are fantastic; it makes it easier for employees to submit access requests through Slack rather than completing bulky Jira forms. The Trust Centre is another feature I love because it reduces the amount of security questions I have to answer, allowing me to direct people there instead. Access management is great as well, as I can integrate multiple systems and ensure we don't miss any access issues. The detailed test framework is incredibly useful for audits, ensuring we submit comprehensive evidence without needing to input a ton more during audits.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if custom fields could be available in access requests - I just want to have a field that allows people to select the environment for some tools they request access for. Mostly it is fine as they just use the standard field, but it would be a great addition for us. It would also be good if some of the integrations for third parties were more detailed than just access management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for compliance centralization, continuous audit readiness, vendor oversight, and streamlining onboarding. The Trust Center simplifies security queries. Access management integration prevents unauthorized entries, and Slack integrations ease access requests, reducing auditor workloads.

Helpful TPRM Module with Responsive, Hands-On Vanta Support
What do you like best about the product?
The TPRM module, along with the support we received from Vanta, has been very helpful—especially the regular meetings and the support team’s responsiveness whenever any issues came up.
What do you dislike about the product?
To properly implement all processes in line with best industry practices, you need to purchase the higher-tier packages. Otherwise, it’s a nice tool, but only as long as your organization stays within the limits of the default options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having our processes unified in one platform has been a big improvement. Previously, everything was scattered across different tools and spreadsheets, which made it harder to keep track of work and stay aligned. Now we can collaborate with system owners, legal, and cyber in one place, which makes coordination much smoother.
