Simplifies compliance admin
What do you like best about the product?
Makes sure everything is covered, reminders to keep everything everything up to date, ability to check compliance progress for different certifications, everything is in one place making it easier for staff and auditors to access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the instructions for integrations are a bit circular (eg the AWS set up ones keep referring you to other articles rather than the steps to obtain the IDs at the start of the process) and the policy templates are US-centric.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tackling compliance in a small business that doesn't have a dedicated department for it.
Efficient Tracking, Needs Streamlined Views
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta for the tracking. There's no need for separate tracking in Excel, and I love how new resources are automatically added.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are too many views for the same thing in Vanta, which can be a bit confusing. It would be better if the views were simpler, like if I want to see 'a' I go to 'a'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps me track items to complete, manage deadlines, and identify vulnerabilities without needing separate tracking Excel sheets, and it automatically adds new resources.
Real quick way to get compliant
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has integrations with many development tools and platforms, allowing Vanta to run tests and ensure your organization is compliant. They also provide services that allow you to offload most tasks, ensuring compliance. Vanta also supports compliance from a continuity standpoint. It's also very easy to create the ton of documentation required for compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
You will need to email them if you have compliance questions outside of what the product offers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps out product to be HIPAA compliant. We also used Vanta to get SOC 2 Type 1 certified.
Very easy to use platform with help in every step providing a much easier path to our SOC2 cert.
What do you like best about the product?
Provided templates, ease of use and effective communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only issue was that an LLC does not require a BOD. THis was not clear to Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assist in our SOC2 audit.
Makes a daunting process a bit more bearable
What do you like best about the product?
They connected us with partners who really helped automate things. Had great templates whenever we needed to get started with a new task
What do you dislike about the product?
After sales, we were kind of left high and dry. There wasn't any call with a CSM or somebody to help orient (other than external consultants)

Given us a lot of structure and resources to prepare for compliance audits
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has been straightforward to use. I especially appreciate how well it organizes documents and tests, with clear due dates and defined review periods. It’s made staying on top of compliance tasks much more manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's perfectly fine for what it is. Managing compliance is no fun even with a great tool.

Great Automation and Smooth Compliance Process
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's automation and end-to-end service made our compliance journey incredibly smooth. The auditor matching worked perfectly, and we got certified quickly. The portal is very intuitive and easy to navigate. With AI guidance, the whole process became much simpler than expected. Everything flows well from start to finish.
What do you dislike about the product?
Communication with auditors during the audit period could be smoother - navigating to specific issues isn't always straightforward, and sharing relevant links should be easier. Minor issues with initial setup being a bit overwhelming, and some features could use better documentation. Overall experience has been very positive though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta automates our compliance process and connects us with auditors seamlessly. We achieved certification quickly with minimal manual work. The intuitive platform made complex compliance requirements easy to navigate, saving us significant time and resources.

What do you like best about the product?
Cross-mapping of controls and making compliance easier
What do you dislike about the product?
When there are technical glitches that we can't handle on our side, it takes a while and some duplicative outreach efforts to hear back from your team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us get and stay compliant across multiple frameworks which is saving us a bit of manual time/effort.
Pretty impactive platform!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that has the right amount of notifications and customization. We have a fairly small organization but it's still really nice to split up tasks, roles, and responsibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's our first time going through an audit and I felt sort of underprepared. When it comes to the controls I felt very confident and ready, but there we lots of things that I didn't understand. An example is how every once in awhile something would say that it's "not ready for audit" but would also say that I can't upload until the audit or that it might not even be required. That led me to think about whether or not a lot of controls even applied to our business and I felt sort of lost in that way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta does a great job keep us up to date with company policies. Instead of having to remember them manually it gives us great reminders of when things are out of date. Especially regarding HR stuff.
Vanta has been an incredibly useful tool for the SOC 2 audit process.

I like how well it is organized and how easy it is to see what else needs to be done to help progress the audit process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta can feel a bit overwhelming at times, but I believe that is more an issue with the audit process than the software presentation.

Vanta is being used to guide us through the SOC 2 Type 2 audit process. It helps manage and organize the process for us as well as connecting us to potential auditors.
