What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has been instrumental in helping our 10-person team achieve SOC2 Type 1 and ISO27001 certifications efficiently. The interface is exceptionally well-designed and user-friendly, making complex compliance tasks manageable. The onboarding process was smooth and helped us get started quickly. What impressed us most was the seamless integration capabilities with various tools, which streamlined our security monitoring. The customer support system works well - the chatbot provides immediate responses, followed by detailed email support from the team. Overall, Vanta significantly improved our compliance workflow efficiency, transforming what could have been an overwhelming process into a structured, manageable system.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta is powerful, there are areas for improvement. Initially, we faced challenges with limited support for Japan-specific tools and integrations, though this has since been addressed. The lack of Japanese document templates at the beginning made the setup process more time-consuming for our team. For newcomers to compliance, the platform can feel overwhelming - it's not always clear what the optimal sequence of tasks should be or which steps to prioritize first. More structured guidance on the recommended workflow would be helpful. From a startup perspective, the pricing could be more accessible for smaller companies just beginning their compliance journey. However, these issues haven't significantly impacted the overall value we've received from the platform.

Vanta has solved several critical business challenges for our growing startup. Before Vanta, managing SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance manually was overwhelming and time-consuming - we struggled with tracking complex requirements, collecting evidence, and maintaining consistent security practices across our organization. The compliance process was opaque, making it difficult to know what steps to take and when. Vanta automated our compliance monitoring, centralized our security management, and provided clear guidance on certification requirements. As a result, we successfully achieved both SOC2 Type 1 and ISO27001 certifications, which significantly enhanced our credibility with enterprise customers and accelerated our sales process. The platform has saved our small team countless hours of manual work while ensuring we maintain robust security practices. This has allowed us to focus on our core business while confidently meeting our customers' security expectations.

Some templates in Vanta are US-centric, but it hasn't been a big problem and will no doubt improve over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps automate monitoring and compliance that otherwise takes many hours of manual work. Our team can focus on the most important information security strategies rather than pesky manual evidences that used to be part of compliance.

Vanta makes it easy to add applications that you are using in your system to help make sure you stay compliant. Makes it easy to see what certifications you are eligible for based on your current processes and technical system implementation.

There are some missing integrations like railway but they are being addressed

Helping has stay on track for SOC Type 1 and ISO Certifications
The team is very easy to work with and responsive to the needs of the Geminus employees.

We like the portal and staff. In fact, I believe the portal and staff are better to work with than some of your competitors.

I really have no complaints other than the pricing is quite a bit higher than some of the competition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not have problems, however, the Engineering side of the company uses Vanta support and I believe he is quite happy.
Great intuitive platform
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, its vey intuative and you need minimal training to understand how it all connects together. It made SOC2 way less daunting, plus the account managers are great.

The % doesn't reflect the status of your audit, so it's not comparitive

I really like how the interface framework is well organized—it seems intuitive and easy to use, even for someone without an auditing background.

Too many paid features are not included in the subscriptions.

1. Vanta breaks down the entire compliance process into manageable tasks, allowing me to assign each one to the appropriate person. While it's often difficult to explain the full security compliance framework to all stakeholders, Vanta enables them to fulfill the necessary requirements accurately without needing deep background knowledge.
2. Vanta logs all tasks, document uploads, and assessments, helping me stay on top of time-sensitive compliance requirements and maintain clear audit trails.
3. Vanta’s integrations significantly reduce the burden of managing access controls. I can monitor account changes across third-party services without needing to log into each one individually.
4. The risk library assists in identifying potential risks, and the comprehensive policy templates save a great deal of time when drafting or updating our internal policies.

The automated evidence collections save tons of time and lessen stress for small teams. Vanta easily integrates with a variety of other very common tools. There's been no issues with using the platform.
Their support team is top tier! They do not hesitate to hop on a call and walk you through any current needs or possibly any future needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few times where integrations conflict with each other and I am unable to easily mark that if it covers one of the controls then it does not need to worry about the other one. I am able to solve this with manual intervention. They are open to hearing feedback and improving your experience though!
