What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of the assistant for generating and scheduling my tasks, which saves me time and clarifies my needs, such as having an immutable backup in S3. Additionally, the integration and validation of my backups with devices like QNAP or NAS is very useful because everything is integrated. The transition was a clean implementation and it was great. Following the requirements for the installation was a piece of cake.

I think it only works on Windows, I believe creating a web console would help to access it on another machine or via VPN.

I use Veeam Data Platform to perform daily and immutable backups, integrating and validating backups on QNAP or NAS. Its assistant simplifies task scheduling and allows understanding needs such as having an immutable backup in S3.

I use Veeam Data Platform for backup, replication, and monitoring with Veeam One. I love how it simplified the process of backup and replication due to its easy integration with hypervisors and applications. The continuous replication solution for disaster recovery orchestration is a plus. I find the Veeam AI, the sandbox, and the instant recovery features particularly useful. It's great that I can try the restore before implementing it in the production environment. The ease of use and the wide open community were the main reasons for switching from IBM Spectrum Protect. The initial setup was very easy, just a next, next wizard.

I find it limiting that not all features of Sangfor ASV are supported compared to VMware.

I find Veeam Data Platform extraordinarily reliable, which is very reassuring. I also appreciate the notifications we get and the ability to generate reports for audits that clearly show what's being done and completed.

The only thing that doesn't work as well for us is that I always have wished that there was an appliance rather than a warning on a Windows host. Just because of the unreliability of Windows. However, as long as you keep your Windows up to date, it runs rock solid.

Veeam Data Platform allows us to back up between several data centers and ensures our backups are encrypted, so we don't have to worry about them.

A specific example of how I use Veeam Data Platform for backup in my environment is that we have integrated this solution into our VMware platform. We have connected our servers into Veeam Data Platform and created jobs for each server to back it up.

The best features of Veeam Data Platform include offering backup for specific disks.
The backup for specific disks feature has helped me by allowing us to take backups specifically for data we need, rather than for the whole server as a single disk, such as just backing up the root disk.
One of the helpful features is that we can monitor the backup process, and it is easy to follow and monitor.
Veeam Data Platform has positively impacted our organization because we can take backups for all the servers we have in one platform in a specific way for all processes across all servers, making it a centralized backup platform.
What needs improvement?
The restore process is somewhat complicated for Veeam Data Platform.
For enhancement, I wish to see restoring the backup become easier or more user-friendly, similar to the backup process.
