I have not used a different solution and have been using Veeam Data Platform since day one.

I have seen a clear return on investment with Veeam Data Platform in terms of time savings and reduced downtime, with downtime reduced from four to six hours in operational efficiency. Timing is saved by forty to fifty percent, and faster recovery operations now take thirty to sixty minutes, down from five to ten minutes.

My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing for Veeam Data Platform shows that the licensing is flexible. The VUL model offers good value, although the cost planning and licensing system can be complex in larger environments.
What other advice do I have?
Backup scheduling and automation with Veeam Data Platform are straightforward without any major challenges.
I perform restores on a regular basis for both testing and operational needs, and the reliability of those restores has been excellent. My restoration frequency includes periodic testing and scheduled restoration testing. Because of regular testing, I have a confidence level that contributes to a near one hundred percent success rate, thanks to backup verification features like SureBackup.
The management of capacity planning and storage management with Veeam Data Platform is smooth without any challenges.
My advice for others looking into using Veeam Data Platform is to plan your setup properly, use immutable backups, and regularly test restoration to ensure you get a minimum reliable and valuable experience with Veeam Data Platform. I would rate this product nine out of ten overall.

Agnostic, Brand-Flexible Tool with an Intuitive, Improved Console
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that the tool is brand-agnostic. We can register any brand, and they keep developing new compatibilities for the ones that are about to hit the market.
Additionally, I like that the console has improved. It’s intuitive and easy for customers to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Today, I’m working with an HPE tool for virtualization. Veeam is developing the solution, but it isn’t something we can benefit from yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It focuses on backup security. Previously, in the event of a ransomware attack, backup files could become infected. Now we are working to protect these files so we can ensure the integrity of the backups and, in turn, provide a more stable and secure recovery.
Easy Deployment and Strong Reporting, but Hyper-V Integration Falls Short
What do you like best about the product?
Easy deployment process to onboard all required resources, multiple included management components make reporting and view of infrastructure effective return for investment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Microsoft Hyper-V is lacking compared to VMware offering, missing storage level integration for this means the best parts of Veeam cannot be fully utilised. Same is the same for the orchestration component.

Trust and faith that our data is backed up, and ready to restore when needed, allowing mobility to restore operations to any target infrastructure.
Advanced Backup Platform with a Feature-Rich, Polished UI
What do you like best about the product?
I’m a new user, and Veeam is probably the most advanced backup platform I’ve ever used. I really like the features and the UI in version 13, and overall it’s been a great experience so far. I’m definitely a Veeam user now.

Veeam has a very steep learning curve. It took me a while to understand what it was asking for and how to provide the right information so I could get the results I wanted from it.

The obvious benefit is protecting important company data, but it’s also a way for us to seamlessly integrate off-site, immutable storage.

Veeam Data Platform is widely respected for its reliability and fast recovery. That said, the most common complaints I hear are its high cost, an architecture that can feel complex for beginners, and the operational overhead it can introduce in larger or cloud-heavy environments.

Hardware failures, accidental deletions, ransomware attacks, and system crashes can all lead to critical data loss. How Veeam helps: it provides automated backups and secure storage for copies of your data. Benefit: you can quickly restore files, VMs, or applications and keep business-critical data from being lost.
