    What do you like best about the product?
    I find D2L Brightspace pretty easy to use for navigating through courses and learning at my own pace. The website is easy to use and handy enough to navigate, which I really like. The community is also very nice, and I'm excited about the Fusion 2026. The initial setup was pretty easy as well.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    SSO login can be improved. I was unable to find Coursera to login from my D2L site.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    I use D2L Brightspace for easy navigation through courses at my own pace. It's a handy and easy-to-use platform, but the SSO login needs improvement as I couldn't find Coursera to login.

    Simple, Organized, and Keeps Everything in One Place

    What do you like best about the product?
    I really like using D2L Brightspace because it is simple to use and easy to find what I need. D2L Brightspace has a lot of things in one place like course materials, assignments, quizzes and grades. The way D2L Brightspace is set up is very organized which is great. I can use D2L Brightspace on my phone or computer which's very helpful. D2L Brightspace also helps me keep track of my progress and when things are due. This makes learning with D2L Brightspace easy for students and instructors. D2L Brightspace is very good, at helping us stay on top of things.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I think D2L Brightspace has a problems. For example it can be hard to find what you need when you first start using it. You have to click a lot of times to get to some things.. Sometimes the pages take a long time to load when you are working with a lot of course stuff. D2L Brightspace could also be better at letting you customize things and make reports. The customization options and reporting options, in D2L Brightspace need to be more flexible.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    D2L Brightspace helps me manage my courses by putting everything in one place. I can keep all my learning materials, assignments, and grades together, so I don’t have to jump back and forth between a lot of different tools. It also helps me stay on top of things by keeping track of what’s due and letting me see how I’m doing. I can work with other people more easily as well. Overall, using D2L Brightspace makes my life easier and helps me learn better. I think it’s really good for course management, and it makes a big difference in how much I get done and how well I learn. D2L Brightspace is very useful for my courses.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Every day, I meet with faculty who are trying to spark deeper engagement in their courses. Often, the conversation begins with a challenge — a discussion board that’s gone quiet or an activity that isn’t landing the way they hoped. As they talk, I listen for what students are struggling with and what kind of connection the instructor wants to build.

    That’s usually where Brightspace enters the story. Together, we look at how tools like release conditions can create a sense of progression, or how small touches like replacement strings can make students feel seen by greeting them by name. We explore ways to give students multiple paths to show what they know, using interactive activities and flexible submission options.

    These conversations remind me that engagement grows from intentional design choices — and Brightspace gives us the tools to help faculty create courses where students feel connected, supported, and motivated to participate.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The Work-To-Do widget has been problematic. Students often complain that it doesn’t accurately reflect their work, which leads to frustration for both them and their instructors.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We use Brightspace for administrative purposes as well as academic ones. It allows us to collect faculty documents, track progress, and provide feedback within a tool that feels familiar and easy to navigate.

    What do you like best about the product?
    One of the most helpful aspects of Brightspace is its intuitive interface. It makes it easy for both instructors and learners to access course materials, assignments, quizzes, grades, and announcements all in one place. Having everything centralized reduces confusion and helps users stay organized and on track throughout the learning process.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    certain tasks, such as course setup, content organization, and assessment configuration, can involve multiple steps. This can make some workflows feel more time-consuming than expected.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    For me, the biggest benefit is improved accessibility and convenience. I can easily access course materials, assignments, grades, and announcements whenever needed, which helps me stay informed and on track. The platform also simplifies communication between instructors and learners, reducing delays and confusion.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like that D2L Brightspace consolidates various LMSs we have used in the past into a single platform.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Brightspace does not have multiple things like attendance, scheduling, timetabling, decent assessments, assessment databases, complex question types, and so forth. These all need to be improved.

    D2L Brightspace consolidates multiple LMSs we've used into one.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Brightspace is a very powerful and adaptable eLearning platform that allows Administrators the flexibility to be innovative about the use of its tools and provide a breadth of educational experience and support that maximises Learner engagement and success. It performs extremely well across a range of educational themes and departments and with recent AI tools makes the creation of educational content and processes much more accessible to designers. With careful consideration of the user experience it is possible to create very engaging and comprehensive educational experiences
    What do you dislike about the product?
    It can take some time to become knowledgeable enough with all of the different tools Brightspace offers in order to make informed decisions about what might work best in certain places and for certain tasks. The range of possible roles and permissions across the platform can be overwhelming - it's best to focus on core established roles and make modifications and tweaks according to you own requirements later.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Brightspace enables us to provide quality, engaging training and education to a broad spectrum of learners across our environment (sport), including a large number of time-poor volunteers who appreciate being able to access the information they need at a time suitable for them. We can now provide training and educational support in a much more learner-focussed and stimulating manner than before

    What do you like best about the product?
    The UI design is user-friendly, and third party products are easy to integrate. Performance has been superior to our previous LMS, and the built-in quiz printer function has been a benefit to our University.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    In the New Content Experience, sub-modules can not be moved out to become separate modules [i.e. a sub-module must be moved underneath another existing module]. This has not been viewed favorably by our users.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Brightspace is working well as an online LMS for our University, and faculty opinion on Brightspace has been mostly favorable.

    As for us: Flexible Training Access and Automated Releases Keep Crew Certifications on Track

    What do you like best about the product?
    Every one of us in airline industry knows, that crews are often out of base or delayed by weather. Using D2L, we like that we can provide Special Access and alternate due dates. If pilot is grounded in a different city, our team can easily modify their training windows without disrupting the entire fleet's schedule.

    Automated, action-based release of materials, it is the thing I value the most. This allows us to create a linear path for certifications, this means no one is operating without prerequisite training, a crew member can not see the advanced cabin safety module until they have passed the basic safety assesment.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    From the recent event, I can remember the error which with I contacted the support team.
    When I imported a new fleet training cycle, the system caused to overwrite my carefully planned dates with the import date/time.
    Until I received any instructions from support team, I had to manually fix the start and end dates for many different modules just because the software decided to reset them.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    One of my primary responsibilities is to ensure that hundreds of crew members are qualified, safety-certified, and ready for their next rotation. Managing a training workforce that is literally moving across time zones 24/7 is a logistically complex challenge, and we’re able to handle it using D2L.

    As stated in protocols, I can not schedule a crew member if they havent completed the specific technical differences training. I can't manually check who has finished their training. So, I use class progress tool, which help me track logins and system access at a glance.

    Also, we employ crew members from across the globe. Safety procedures must be understood with one hundred accuracy, brightspace's auto generation of closed captions in multiple languages help us reduce the risk of a misunderstandings.
