Synthesia has been a game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to fine tune your videos!!!!

It would be nice if it was a little faster! Lol, it takes like 10 min.

What do you like best about the product?
The complex structures of editing availability, along with integrated AI and language capabilities, are unseen elsewhere. I use it almost every day!
What do you dislike about the product?
As newer software, it often contains bugs and needs quick fixes to continue using smoothly. However, the Synthesia support team can help solve this very easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick editing of videos with AI avatar spoken word without the need to film real individuals for hours. A simple edit to the script can be made 15 times in under a minute and requires zero additional real life recording.
Effortless Video Creation with AI Power
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Synthesia for creating quick training videos and interactive content for my learners. My favorite feature is the ability to pivot a written script into tracks using the AI creation tool. I can feed it a script, and if spaced out correctly, it cuts the video tracks so the video production is about 60 to 70% complete, allowing me to use working animations and characters as I like. This feature is extremely helpful in building videos. I also think the overall ability to make dynamic edits to video content is great. The addition of AI interactive features like simulated conversations is really helpful. The asset library adds a great deal of value, offering access to AI content, icons, licensed videos, special effects, and background options, which I find valuable for enhancing the tool. The initial setup of Synthesia was as simple as logging in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest opportunity to enhance some things here really lies in the video editing subset. Like, I think the growth of the avatars and making them more realistic is something that's obviously the purview of the development team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create quick training videos and interactive content. It helps me quickly generate content from one page with useful assets, avatars, and the ability to voice over video, which is great for creating trending learning videos.
Lack of Transparency and Arbitrary Decisions – Not Suitable for Professional Use
What do you like best about the product?
We strongly advise businesses in the financial sector to consider alternative providers that prioritize transparency and customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I approached Synthesia to create a short video for IGUV, an association for independent asset managers, targeting FINMA-authorized asset managers. Unfortunately, the video was rejected by Synthesia without providing a clear explanation. The only justification we received referred vaguely to Synthesia’s guidelines. Despite carefully reviewing these guidelines, we could not determine what specifically led to the rejection.
We appealed this decision through the online form but received another generic response stating that our content still violated their policies. No detailed explanation was provided, leaving us in the dark about what caused this arbitrary decision. Even with significant effort and imagination, we cannot figure out what content might have been problematic.
This lack of transparency and arbitrary censorship makes it impossible for us to recommend Synthesia. There is no point of contact for resolving such issues, leaving customers helpless and entirely at the mercy of their unexplained decisions. Under these circumstances, we cannot justify working with this AI platform.
For the broader B2B financial sector, Synthesia’s approach and lack of clarity make them an unsuitable choice. Consistency and transparency are critical in our industry, and this experience has demonstrated that Synthesia falls short on both fronts.
Their response to our appeal further confirms this stance:
"Your moderation appeal has been denied. After careful review, we regret to inform you that your appeal was unsuccessful. Upon reevaluation, we determined that the content in question continues to violate our platform’s guidelines and cannot be reinstated."
While they claim to maintain consistent standards, the lack of specificity and accountability is concerning. For any professional organization, especially in regulated industries, Synthesia’s methods are simply not reliable.

Some things advertized I found but were not included....kind of bait and switch... a little bit.

What do you like best about the product?
This platform has been so helpful for practitioners who don't have a background in design/production to create incredibly high-quality content that is engaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve, especially with creating a personal avatar, but with some trial and error, we were able to produce a very convincing talking head.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has saved us thousands if not hundreds of thousands of $$ in production costs.

How responsive it is to the prompt, how natural the video looks and the fast creation. I recommend it for sure!

The free trial could be longer, and the features for Portuguese language need to be improved to have the same performance that english language has

It's very powerful and easy to use. It requires a couple of day to be operative and to produce a great work.

There are a lot of possible options to choose. It would be better to have a mechanism capable of searching better among the different options
