Synthesia Scales On-Brand Training Videos Fast with Customizable AI Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
Using Synthesia enables our organization to scale high-quality video content quickly without the cost, time, or logistics of traditional filming. It allows for consistent, on-brand messaging through customizable AI avatars, making it ideal for training, onboarding, and executive communications. The platform supports rapid updates and localization. We were able to send out messages around safety and ensure consistency in messaging. For my training content, it drives efficiency, improves learner engagement, and accelerates content delivery at scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of using Synthesia is that even small edits often require regenerating the entire video, which can be time-consuming and disruptive to the workflow. This makes quick iterations less efficient, especially when refining scripts or making minor adjustments late in the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. High cost and complexity of video production
Traditional video requires studios, equipment, talent, and editing—Synthesia removes that by enabling AI-generated videos without filming.
2. Slow content creation and updates
Instead of waiting weeks to produce or revise videos, teams can create and update content in minutes, making it easier to keep training current.

Synthesia Made Our Law School Course Lectures Easy with Flexible Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
The Synthesia platform has been very helpful for us in creating course lectures for our law school classes. I can input my PowerPoint slides along with content by our instructors and Dean to add to the class content on our LMS system for online classes. It was easy to pick different avatars for each course instead of using the same one or just a few "live" class instructors and make time to film their lectures for weekly course materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only dislike so far would be that a few videos have been flagged and I had to appeal to get them released. I think it is because the videos deal with elements of law, but we are a Law Scholl as I constantly explain in order to get them released and that they are only being used for course content and not the general public.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Synthesia is helping me solve is that I do not need to bring in local instructors or reach out to other class instructors and have them record weekly content for law course content and go back to edit in PowerPoint slides to match. Synthesia lets me do it all in one shot, upload slides, written transcripts, pick an avatar and generate the video.
Efficient and Multilingual Video Creation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use Synthesia to create training videos specific to my program for internal coworkers and our downstream partners. Synthesia allows me to create training references quickly and efficiently while supporting multiple languages. I find it easy to use, and updates are made quick and easy by updating scripts or content. The screen recording feature and language support are particularly beneficial for creating walkthrough videos to demonstrate tasks, especially important for communicating how to navigate through complex programs while accommodating our global team. Synthesia was early in providing a robust solution with AI capabilities, which we didn't have with Vidyard. Although there was a learning curve initially, with practice, it gets easier. I also appreciate that Synthesia integrates well with other tools, as I use it to support my partner relationship manager system, and to share videos on social media, through email, or on our microsite.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeping in mind the cadence of the AI speech or trying to determine when acronyms should be spelled out is a task that could be improved upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create training videos quickly, supporting multiple languages. It simplifies updating content and aids global communication with visual walkthroughs.
Realistic Avatars, But Restrictive Policies
What do you like best about the product?
I like the human-like avatars and some of the new features, which I don't think have fully rolled out yet, like gestures and the ability to connect to an API.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the intense censorship and restrictiveness of anything that is incorrectly identified as current news or sensitive information. It locks down all the abilities. I had an account suspended over that, so I don't appreciate that at all. Also, your AI audio is very glitchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create human-like avatars and realistic voiceovers that go beyond the quality of caricatures.
Intuitive, High-Quality Video Creation with Synthesia
What do you like best about the product?
I use Synthesia to create training, onboarding, and marketing content using avatars that look very human-like. It's what I like is that it's very intuitive and reminds me of the structure of PowerPoint. I love the fact that it has over 140 language options, which makes it very high quality. I can customize it to present any content I want. The avatars are very realistic and amazing. I enjoy that it allows me to create content very fast and scalable, without needing a camera crew. It also solves problems for me because I don't have to worry about actors or equipment, which in the long run, saves you money. I think what I like about Synthesia is that it has, I think, over 200 avatars that I could use. This allows me to use different actors to present different material and keep things fresh and moving. The fact that it has over 140 languages enables me to provide content to my employees in their native language. I love that I can customize an avatar to look any age or demographic. It's also very easy to use and has an intuitive interface. The initial setup was very easy and very intuitive, just like any other software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't noticed anything that doesn't work for me right now. I think, maybe the price point is maybe not as accessible to everyone. But in my case, I think it's very accessible.

I use Synthesia to create content fast, without a camera crew or actors. It's scalable and saves money long term by eliminating equipment costs.
Quick and Impactful Video Creation for Sales Enablement
What do you like best about the product?
I love how quick and easy it is to create impactful content with Synthesia. The editing process is a breeze, which saves me hours of rework. I find the speed at which we can get product information and updates out to our sales organization impressive. It helps put product information into our sales teams' hands quickly, enabling a greater sales pipeline. The initial setup was simple, and it integrates well with Articulate Rise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like to see filter options for the video / image assets to be able to search easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia for creating training videos, which simplifies go-to-market enablement, product marketing, and sales training. It's quick and easy to create impactful content, saving hours of rework and helping get product information and updates to our sales team quickly.
Amazing Tech Support and a Truly Great Tool

Tech support is amazing. The team there is very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
I create safety videos with Synthesia and appreciate the ease of creation and editing it offers. It's great to have the ability to create informative professional videos that are uniform across the organization and edit them as needed when policies change. I like the variety of avatars available, which helps me reach my target audience effectively. The initial setup was very easy, especially with the support we received.
What do you dislike about the product?
AI video generation could be more intuitive. It seemed like the choice of images was a little off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create informative, professional videos that are uniform across the organization and edit them as needed. I like using targeted avatars to reach my audience.
Good product, but misleading on the free portion.
What do you like best about the product?
Overall a good product. IT was easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free recording option let's you get through the entire recording before alerting you that you have to pay in order to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of re-recording IVR messages, but we would be forced to pay for it, so it's not benefiting us. Had I been able to download one recording for free, I may have purchased the product.
