What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love the expressive avatars in Synthesia; they are amazing and add immense value to our content creation process. These avatars are extremely lifelike and appear real, which makes the communication of our branding message clear, consistent, and engaging. The avatars contribute significantly to making the content more dynamic and appealing, enhancing the overall presentation on our websites. Additionally, the initial setup for Synthesia is very straightforward, which made transitioning from HeyGen seamless for our team. This efficiency enhances our ability to produce high-quality content quickly and without hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that most avatars in Synthesia lack forehead expressions, which could really enhance the realism and engagement if improved. Additionally, I would appreciate having the ability to insert gesture prompts directly within the script, as this would allow for more nuanced and expressive communication within the content produced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to produce content for our websites, and it effectively communicates branding messages clearly, consistently, and in an engaging way.
Effortless Video Creation, Major Time Saver
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Synthesia offers the ability to create quick and easy videos with avatars simply by writing scripts, which saves both time and money. The ease of operation without the need for extensive instructions is a significant benefit, allowing me to jump right into creating videos without a steep learning curve. The straightforward setup process enhances this convenience. Even though I'm currently using it for simple videos, the potential to improve video quality in the future is promising. The speed at which I can produce these videos is highly beneficial, especially since I'm managing the tasks without a team. Synthesia's capacity to support projects solo, eliminating the necessity of hiring additional help, is invaluable. I give Synthesia a strong rating of 8.5 to 9, owing to its efficiency and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customizing the video backgrounds with timings on text and other enhancements feels a bit complicated. I haven't been able to fully grasp it, and due to time constraints, I haven't dug deep enough into it. It would be helpful if there was a marketplace attached where I could reach out to someone else to handle that work for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to quickly create employee orientation and marketing videos, saving both time and money by easily generating content with avatars. It helps me operate without a team, simplifying the process with just scripts.
Great for Avatar Videos, Lacks Non-Avatar Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I like Synthesia's ability to generate videos from a script or from a suggested script. Its output audio is great and doesn't sound very robotic. The initial setup was very simple since it is a web-based tool, so no actual setup was needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The videos without the avatars aren't that great, and I have to rely on tools like Vyond for such videos. They don't have a lot of components to choose from in their library. When I chat with their AI to build a video without the avatar, it still includes the stock avatar in one way or another, so it gets really difficult to work in Synthesia for such videos. Also, their AI would confirm one command multiple times before executing it. We are not very happy with it.

I use Synthesia for creating personalized avatar videos, adding a personal touch that has a better impact on learners.

This is an excellent tool for video editing, especially for business purposes such as creating training and marketing materials. It allows you to easily trim lengthy or unnecessary content using its various features.

I appreciate the intuitive nature of Synthesia and how it is very user-friendly, making the process of creating realistic videos remarkably straightforward. The ease with which I can create informational videos is a significant advantage, as these videos are easy to follow and understand. Additionally, I am impressed by how quickly I can develop these videos, almost in a matter of moments, which is incredibly efficient for my work needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the avatar, voice, and lip movements could be improved on a little bit. It seems to be a little not realistic sometimes with the avatar. Additionally, I noticed there are limitations with custom avatars unless you're using your own avatar. The custom avatars provided by Synthesia are limited to the content due to the nature of the work.

I find Synthesia simplifies creating informational videos, making the process intuitive and quick, and helps in producing realistic content efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
This is truly a mind-blowing marketing tool. It enables companies to expand their video capabilities, generating scripts and integrating them seamlessly with avatars.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it quite frustrating that in order to brand videos, you have to purchase the entire Morose package, which costs 12k per year. It seems reasonable to expect a company’s colors and logo to be automatically included in every video.

This tool is making it easier for me to scale video production at a low cost.

Additionally, I find Synthesia very easy to use, which streamlines the video creation process and allows me to focus more on content rather than technology.

The voice tones are limited. There isn't any playful or whimsical tone; it's all instructional or informational.

I really enjoy how easy Synthesia is to use, as the cut-and-paste functionality with text, transitions, and rendering makes the video creation process straightforward and efficient. I find the realistic avatars to be a key feature, offering high-quality results without the need to hire a professional, as they provide excellent speech, movement, and backgrounds. The templates available are also highly effective for creating videos quickly, which is ideal for my needs. Additionally, the realistic voices and movements of the avatars are impressive, and the cost-effectiveness of Synthesia compared to other tools such as Hae Jin makes it an excellent choice for our organization. I also appreciate how immediate and uncomplicated the initial setup was, allowing me to select an avatar and start video creation for onboarding within minutes. I have already recommended Synthesia to several colleagues due to its overall efficiency and quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a bit challenging to get the text or other objects to slide in or move in on time. I've had to go back and redo that a few times. Additionally, it seems to take a lot of time for the video to go into preview mode.

An added benefit is the recently introduced ability to work with timelines; this feature aligns well with my familiarity with timelines from other video software, simplifying the integration into my workflow. Overall, Synthesia makes it easier to invest my time and energy, knowing there is substantial human support and thoughtful development involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to afford the enterprise level of Synthesia, which restricts my access to some valuable features that are currently out of my reach. Additionally, the lip-syncing feature seems somewhat unnatural or 'plastic,' which affects the realism of the videos. Also, while Synthesia's timeline feature is helpful, I don't feel I have the same level of control as I do in other video editing software, so I often need to use additional programs to fine-tune projects.
