AI-Driven Video Creation with Impressive Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I like the choice of voice and easy access tools in Synthesia. They make it easy to brand and edit, giving a professional feel to our self-paced onboarding videos. I also find it valuable that we can localize our AI person and ensure neutrality, and it's easy to align scripts to videos by recording videos as the AI reads the scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to add shapes easily at one point in time is lacking. The current methods are time-consuming and a fiddle compared to the rest of the process. It would be helpful to pick a moment in time, add the shape, and have Synthesia ensure the shape appears at that point. Editing the fade out point/time would be easier and ensure the shape is in the correct place and positioned correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia for creating scripts and videos without the need for in-person production. It offers voice choices and tools to brand and edit videos professionally. We can easily localize and align scripts with videos using AI.
Quick Setup but Limited Flexibility on Cancellations
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can film my own face with Synthesia, and they also offer preprogrammed avatars for me to use. The option to use my own face is valuable to my business, while having other avatars available is helpful in case I'm not comfortable using my own face. Additionally, I found the initial setup pretty easy, as I was able to get going in ten minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't like that you can't cancel at any time or prorate it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia lets me create videos without filming, and I can use my own face or preprogrammed avatars, making it valuable for my business.
Good for Marketing, but Initial Experience Misleading
What do you like best about the product?
I use Synthesia for marketing videos for my new AI tutor training business. I really liked the first screen before I even signed in, where I was able to input information and create a video. I also like the way that you can change the voices per character and the way you can input videos. It's good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the onboarding video a bit misleading. It gave the impression that I could create a video in the same way after signing up, but you're unable to do that within the platform. Instead, you have to do it all yourself, which I thought was a little deceiving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia doesn't solve problems for me, but it helps market our product.
Easy-to-Navigate Interface That Keeps Work Moving
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video review process feels a bit clunky. A teammate can’t really review anything until you’ve generated the video first, and even then, the commenting feature in editing mode isn’t synced to specific time-stamped moments in the video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small business, and the face of the business is one woman. She is super busy and while she enjoys the thought of eLearning, it is extremely hard for her to sit and record multiple videos so that is where Synthesia comes in.
Transforms Time Management with Lifelike Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Synthesia doesn't take long to generate my content, with each of my clips being about four or five minutes long, so it's quick to process. The speed and accuracy are impressive, as it articulates my words accurately despite my country southern accent. I appreciate the ability to convey my messages quickly and accurately through the avatar. Overall, it's been a great asset to my business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like the ability to erase or remove the original background from my pictures and add video instead. For example, I wanted to have a background scene with a house but couldn't because of my existing background. Having transparent backgrounds would be great. I wish there was a better way to streamline that. It was a learning curve to set up initially. It took me a couple of days to get into it after subscribing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helps me share information with clients without initial meetings, freeing up time for prospecting. It streamlines my workflow, allowing buyers and sellers to see and hear me, making them comfortable even before we meet. This ultimately solves my issue of time, which is invaluable.
AI Backgrounds and Flexible Outfit Changes for Course Creation
What do you like best about the product?
AI background generator and I can change avatar's outfit to fit the course that I am making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all avatar outfits can be changed, and there are very few avatars that feel suitable for higher ed. Also, some of the AI avatars either look very stiff/wooden, or they look too perfect to pass as a real human.

Easy-to-Use Video Editor with Solid Avatars for Training Videos
What do you like best about the product?
The easy of use makes anyone a solid video editor. The avatars a solid and are more than acceptable for any of the training videos we are creating.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not so much a dislike a wait and see. We are a mid-sized company and the enterprise package is WAY more than we need but the Creator package is a bit limiting. This whole field is new so I'm hoping they adjust the pricing model to offer us in the Creator package some "a la carte" options to up grade with our spending 12X the amount. We'd glad pay 3-5X what the Creator package costs to get some of the features that are simply not available in the package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a full production studio that is truly a "time suck". The amount of time saved in using the Synthesia software is worth every penny and the limits the soft ware has over a full post production project.

Not only is the result amazing, the certainty of guaranteed quality is top notch. Easy of use and implementation

We don't have any negative points at this time.

Simplifying the transfer of text. Reading documents is perceived as less pleasant than spoken explanations with text support.
Personal Avatar Creation Made Synthesia the Clear Winner
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create a Personal Avatar was the single biggest factor in choosing Synthesia over competitors. The process to create the Avatar was longer and more data acquired to make it accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, the speech patterns aren't 100% and sometimes there is a pause when you don't want one, but overall, very good with avatar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to create presentations for a course on Kajabi that I had envisioned. I don't have a studio or great equipment to record myself frequently. I was able to create all of the videos and it is now live on Kajabi!
