Very simple to use and has my confidence in its protection of my data.
What do you like best about the product?
I love Virtru's ease of use. It is just a click away on my email and so it helps encrypt my communications that need to be secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about Virtru. I have not had any issues or problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru allows me to send confidential information to my team without worrying about FERPA violations.

Very Useful for Confidential Information
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Virtru, I am able to send confidential information regarding state testing via email throughout the district which saves me a lot of time. The convenience is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I could say is that I work a lot from my phone and it can be frustrating to always go through a sign-in process to access or reaccess emails sent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to my district adopting Virtru, I could not communicate much information via email to my test coordinators at all of our schools due to the confidentiality required. It has made communication much easier and less time-consuming.
Virtru is a good tool to use, but it will have its cons
What do you like best about the product?
Virtru is a perfect tool to encrypt my emails to providers concerning my clients. Also, I like that I can see when the receiver opens my emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Virtru has its cons. I recently had an issue with Virtru when I did not have it in my emails when composing an email and also had an issue where I had an unknown error message which kept me from having to review my emails. Vitru can also be a pain when attachments are added and are not able to be seen by the receiver, and I would have to resent the attachment either with or without Virtru on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not reached out to the help desk for Virtru concerning issues. I have been speaking with my IT through the agency I work for.
So far its great, definitely need to correct a few issues but overall works well with Gmail.
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to turn on/off when composing an email.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some attachments don't go through all the way and my recipients can't open them, not all the time but sometimes.

Protecting consumer information (personal information).

Not everyone can open the doucment, especially banks

Sending documents securely is much faster and requries very little effort.
Secure Protection
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the convenience of turning emails secure when trying to send HIPPA-sensitive information over to coworkers or other medical facilities. The built-in feature is why I continue to use the program as it is not an extra application or encryption I would have to include, just a simple "turn on" and we are good to go!

Honestly, I use it daily and have not encountered any dislikes or issues at this time.

Communication between team members with sensitive information.
Provides a much-needed service to protect health information/personal details in modern times.

The functions are easily accessible and formatted efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, messages that do not need to be encrypted are sent in that fashion without an option to disable it (Virtru could easily enable a pop-up window to appear that requires you to confirm that you would like to send it with encryption turned off). There are occasions when encrypted messages do not send. I either wait for an extended period of time for an encrypted message to send, find a message that I thought had sent in my drafts, or I restart Outlook and try again. The arrangement to encrypt previous messages in an email chain does not provide ease for the included parties to confirm earlier discussion/details without going back through their inbox and finding the original message. I am not sure that there is a workaround for this that is HIPAA compliant but it would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru is allowing me to send PHI about participants in stated Medicaid Home and Community-Based waivers virtually and to perform my job functions on a daily basis.
Virtue works half the time, or works when you dont want it to.
What do you like best about the product?
It is secure, and does help a lot when working with banking and items that you really want to keep secure by email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The errors, and having to reset or re-login, is a pain. Sometimes Virtu will pick up an item and encrypt an email that I didn't want to encrypt due to the client not being able to open it on their end. Usually, we have to find a workaround when this happens.

Solves email encryption when needed.
