  • June 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fullly implement hadoop ecosystem and control version compability as well. It also has quickly supported on technical and setting up issues. The community is really large and good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation layout is quite unclear. The community version setting up guides are not working. I think cloudera should provide the simple version in docker or helm chart for trial easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudera platform provides the powerful processing tools that help our company save very much time to setup hadoop ecosystem. It also allows us to monitor and control the big data infrastucture easier and more efficient.

Very easy to deploy on on-premise

  • March 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Model management is easy, and collaboration with others in a notebook environment is fantastic. Another amazing thing is support from the Cloudera team on documentation and learning resources. Great partnership.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very complex to customize and take advantage of all features. I believe this can be worked on and made more user-friendly. Sometimes it becomes very hard to debug the error. Not beginner friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main use of their workbench is to experiment with models before deployment. The other thing is that I don't need to download any libraries separately, and each user has a separate environment. Reproducibility is also very easy when you work with multiple members.

WSO2 API Manager integration with Cloudera

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Advantages of Cloudera: Ease of use, Security, Number of components, Scalability and Active community of users.

The main advantages of using Cloudera are scalability and centralized administration, which greatly facilitates the work of monitoring and necessary corrections.
What do you dislike about the product?
The difficulty of having a free option after the acquisition of Hadoop this process became more complex and bureaucratic.

As the main thing, I still consider the cost, although I believe it is fair, but it ends up being unfeasible for smaller projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The data processing of a large government organization, with millions of records per day.

The data is sent via WSO2 to Kafka, and then with NIFI, the processing is done to save the raw and summarized data in HIVE and force an index in solr to be consumed later by the WSO2 API Manager.
