Powerful API development and management tool for teams
What do you like best about the product?
Where do I start? Focusing on the team-based features, Postman allows its user's intuitive tools to manage APIs across teams, easy to generate documentation and code snippets, and broad testing tools across a myriad of different protocols.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little, actually. The biggest issue with Postman is occasional software failures, but they are usually associated with a poor build, and updates and fixes are quick to come out. I will say that while not exceedingly expensive, the user pricing model can be a little heavy-handed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The team I manage creates a limited number of software products that are required to connect to various and unpredictable 3rd party APIs for our customers. We needed a tool that would help us set up and document our API requests and what the payload response would look like to ease in the integration process.
How Postman Saved My APIs
What do you like best about the product?
I was looking for a quick and easy tool to test the APIs at my place of work. I stumbled across Postman and it was love at first sight. It helped me test API endpoints quickly (REST, SOAP, or GraphQL), generate cURLs, and save preset headers just to name a few of the many great features it offers. It is a simple and intuitive UI for developers to manage the stages of the API lifecycle and as my title states it saved me and my team's APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, there is nothing to dislike. I love this tool, and for me, it has become a lifesaver. It is the best way for me as a developer to test an API and visualize how it works.
If I had to nitpick, the latest update of Postman was a bit of an issue for my PC; I had to uninstall it and re-install it again.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman has haleped in the ability to test APIs, visualize how they work, and generate cURLs for the APIs. It helps a lot if you are trying to understand the APIs and do a quick test. Before I was using a tool made in-house to hit a couple of APIs, that tool was buggy, and it had limits. I cannot stress enough how Postman has become a great benefit. It has cut down on the time our team takes to test the APIs and it has become to the to go tool whenever we need to test APIs or have new APIs that we need to hit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Postman is a potent tool and great for REST APIs; other kinds of services work well with Postman.

Intuitive intreface, live API testing feature, documentation section, collaborative mode

Not so much user guides and onboarding materials, at least in an accessible form

Documenting APis, creating documentation from scratch, managing API references, testing API calls

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a light weighted API testing tool for all kinds of REST services. The best part of this tool is to setup the configuration for global variables setting from Manage Environment section.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we import the collections, I see the global variables values are coming blank. This is a small issue but still not sure kn why I see them blank in the target sys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually we get the sample request and response for any new integration before the actual implementation in our application. To test the sample service, I prefer to use Postman and I have enterprise edition of it as well.

I am 100% recommending it for other developers.

What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly GUI and the smooth functioning is the most eye-catching thing in postman. Also till now I haven't observed any bug in it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found nothing in postman, which is dislikable. Just one thing that somebody can improve is the old look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to check the actual response and response time of API. Also, if the API list in your bucket is enormous, then Postman is helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using POSTMAN for about the last three years in developing APIs at my workplace. I have found it greatly useful for API testing. The POSTMAN interface is much easy to use compared to the browser interface for API testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to login to the POSTMAN and whenever my internet connection is not working, it does not let me send offline API requests which is not that good to me as many of the times I use my local system for API development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using POSTMAN to test APIs I have been developing at my workplace. In my company, we all are using POSTMAN for API testing and it is always easy to share along the POSTMAN files to share the API development cycle.

Postman is a tool to test our practise .We can test APIs without writing so much of html codings.Postman features simplify each step of building any apis and one can create beautiful apis.

In Part of speed is too good for application development.

I am a application developer .I call APIs in the postman ..for showing Json and copy Json .

What do you like best about the product?
I had used it from last 2 years and it's so much helpfull for me. By using this we get accurate result. Accurate result + speed are good compare to other.

Sometime its take much time but overall It’s so good. On the side of speed it's take some time shows session out.

API calling is too good .we have to focus on speed. Sometime it's shows session out.
