Streamlined Compliance with Powerful Audit Trails

What do you like best about the product?
The audit trails and unified month-end checklists are my top picks. Every reconciliation action and attached file carries a timestamp, fully compliant with German financial audit standards. The dashboard displays live task progress, shared lists let our finance team comment directly on work items, cutting down repetitive emails and missed deadlines drastically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Report customization options are too few, can’t adjust layouts to match local German audit forms. Bulk editing reconciliations runs sluggishly. It lacks native connection to our internal file server, so I manually upload all supporting documents monthly. Also, adjusting settings to meet local finance rules took lots of repeated edits during setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously handled all closing work via scattered Excel sheets. FloQast consolidates all closing procedures into one platform, unifies team task tracking and provides traceable audit materials. It drastically cuts audit preparation time, minimizes compliance risks and improves cross-team communication.

What is our primary use case?
For our main use case with FloQast, we utilize it for month-end close tracking, reconciliation, and close management, as well as our fluxes.
A specific example of how I use FloQast for month-end close and fluxes is that throughout our close, we use it for our daily sign-up management meeting to see how the team is tracking to meet our deadline for month-end close. We track all of our balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all of the accounts are reconciled timely and accurately, along with having the flux module integrated with NetSuite to perform more automated fluxes.
What is most valuable?
The best features that FloQast offers are definitely the intuitive dashboard, user-friendly interface, and how easy it is for the team to track all the balance sheet reconciliations.
The dashboard in FloQast is intuitive and user-friendly because it is very easy to display different views if we want to see how the team is doing with a specific area of accounting such as prepays or if we want to filter to how the team is doing on day one, day two, see what is past due, what is late, what is on time, and what is coming up. We can also filter it to a specific team member who needs help, who is on track, or a top performer, so tracking every detail at a very granular level is very helpful for management.
FloQast has positively impacted my organization by helping our month-end close be more streamlined. At my previous company, it helped us go from a 15-day close to a 10-day close and then a 6-day close.
The transition from 15 days to 6 days happened because FloQast helped keep everything organized and centralized, holding team members accountable, and allowing management, team members, and all stakeholders a centralized place for us to store all of our month-end close tasks, ensuring nothing gets missed, ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
What needs improvement?
I think FloQast could be improved, especially their flux module, by having a more powerful feature to allow teams to flux at a more granular level, such as a vendor level detail flux.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using FloQast for about 7 years.
What other advice do I have?
The advice I would give to others looking into using FloQast is that user adoption is key, ensuring every single accounting staff member and management are leveraging the tool because if not everyone is using it, then there is really no point in purchasing this tool. I would rate FloQast a 9 overall.

It provides real-time visibility into the status of every task, so teams know exactly what is done and what is pending without constant status meetings.

If not configured perfectly, you might receive an email for every single sign-off or status change.

We struggled with a lack of transparency during the month-end close. Status updates were done via manual spreadsheets and endless Slack messages, making it hard for management to see where bottlenecks were.

It is ideal for small to medium businesses, but not suitable for complex or high volume businesses in my opinion.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how FloQast makes the month-end close process very easy, fast, simple, and organized. The reconciliation automation is great because it reduces a lot of manual work. I also appreciate the Excel integration since our team heavily relies on Excel and FloQast connects directly to it. The onboarding team was helpful and guided us through the straightforward initial setup.

FloQast feels complex for new users and customization and reporting options feel limited.

What do you like best about the product?
From a Chartered Accountant’s perspective in RTR, what I like best about FloQast is how it brings structure and transparency to the close process. It simplifies reconciliations, provides clear visibility into close status, and ensures strong audit trails. This reduces manual follow-ups, improves accuracy, and allows me to focus more on analysis and reporting rather than coordination.

The tool integrates smoothly with existing ERPs, making integration seamless and reducing manual work. Its strong customer support ensures quick resolution of issues during close. The frequency of use reflects how naturally it fits into daily RTR activities, and the right number of features keeps the close process efficient without adding unnecessary complexity.

During month-end close, when a client had entity-specific reconciliation requirements and ad-hoc adjusting entries, FloQast’s standardized checklist and reconciliation formats didn’t fully accommodate these exceptions. This led to maintaining parallel Excel trackers outside the system, increasing manual effort and the risk of version-control issues, which partially offsets the efficiency benefits FloQast aims to provide.

FloQast addresses the challenge of disorganized and manually driven close activities by bringing all close tasks, reconciliations, and reviews into one structured platform. In an RTR role, this helps eliminate scattered trackers and constant follow-ups.
The benefit to me is better control and visibility over the close process. I can clearly track task ownership, review status, and supporting documentation in real time. This improves accuracy, strengthens compliance, and reduces time spent on coordination, allowing greater focus on review and financial insights rather than process management.
