Effortless Testing on Multiple Platforms
What do you like best about the product?
I use BrowserStack for mobile and web testing, and it's great for testing our apps on different browsers, OS, and proxy locations. I appreciate the App Live feature because it allows me to conveniently launch any OS and browser at any time and specify the OS version. It's extremely simple to set up, and our admins can easily manage users and their access. The ability to test on various resolution devices and across the latest simulators and OS variants reduces our testing time significantly. I'd definitely recommend BrowserStack to a friend or colleague, giving it a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, sessions are disconnected when launching multiple tabs and launching it quickly by changing devices. I would like more user-friendly messages on why there is a session exit suddenly.

Streamlines Testing Across Devices
What do you like best about the product?
I use BrowserStack for testing, and it's really valuable because it offers a full range of devices. This helps a lot since we've only got a few test devices on our own. I like being able to test different scenarios or settings on real life devices and see how everything looks and works. It's got all different device sizes and capabilities, making it easier to ensure compatibility across many devices. Most things are really good with BrowserStack.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's a few devices that didn't support dark mode. And sometimes the session timeout can happen a bit too soon for my liking.

What do you dislike about the product?
1) I can't open in one go with two different browsers and devices on BrowserStack, for example - there are times I want to open apple and google (or Apple v Samsung) side by side to test the journey especially when presenting to stakeholders the journey.
2) As a new(ish) user who is only using Browserstack for a limited use case, I would like a tooltip or AI tool that will help me show in the tool the other uses I can use this system for.

Reliable, Fast Device Spin-Up with Great Selenium API Automation
What do you like best about the product?
The number of devices available to customers is a huge plus. In my experience, the devices are also very reliable - I don’t think I’ve had a single one fail or misbehave. The time it takes for devices to spin up is really quick as well.
I’ve also used the BrowserStack API to automate tests with Selenium. We were then able to add those tests into a pipeline, which gave us a lot of confidence, especially since most of our user base is on Apple iPhone.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be really helpful if I could log into devices and use account features directly on the devices themselves. I do a lot of payments testing, so being able to set up an account on Android or Apple and then use the wallet features would significantly improve our ability to test consistently across different devices.
I’ve also noticed that the iPhone dev tool functionality can be a bit temperamental. In some cases, the dev tools don’t load at all, while in other instances they work seamlessly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s difficult in modern testing to cover every single device a customer might use, but Browserstack helps massively with this thanks to the sheer number of devices, browsers, and OSs available. In the past, I’ve found that employers can be reluctant to provide enough test devices, so Browserstack lets me go wild and try a wide range of setups, testing devices quickly and cost-effectively.
And it isn’t limited to manual testing either. I’ve also used Browserstack to automate tests by targeting specific devices for the test runs. It was straightforward to implement and gave us a lot of confidence, without having to spend ages manually testing each device.

The initial setup of BrowserStack was very easy, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend or colleague, giving it a perfect score of 10.
