Browserstack is useful

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the low code automation tool is very useful tool to deploy an automation solution for any organization. I love how you are able to test things on real devices. It came in really handy during the past regression sprint to test our company's web application across a variety of mobile devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I kind of don't like that you actually have to enter a javascript code (I get that it's low code and not no code, however a page title verification functionality should be built into the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It will allow us to test our company's web application across multiple browsers on real devices. This will streamline our testing efforts. It's helpful in allowing us to test our company's web application utilizing real mobile devices. It is currently helping us to troubleshoot an issue where our company's web app doesn't seem to be loading at all (thru Browserstack Local) on either iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. Without Browserstack's ability to test on real devices we would have never found out this issue.

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is a one stop shop for making sure you have a plethora of testing tools available from browser / OS combinations that are impossible to manually maintain (older iOS devices) to the ability to hook into it for automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can run very slow during live testing. I've felt at times the product is running in a virtualized environment when it's claimed it's a "real" device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less of a need to keep a physical device inventory.

Best for app automation testing

  • March 14, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack supports all the latest version of Appium, XCUITest, Flutter and UIAutomator2 which helps us to use these technologies latest feature in our app automation suite in Browserstack.
Broswerstack also provides us the support of devices which are just launch in the market eg Galaxy 24 Ultra.
We can automate our android app with UIAutomator or iOS app with XCUITest in any device.
What do you dislike about the product?
While running cases on browserstack manually, it takes a lot of time to just open the device. Also, while testing manually device performance is not up to the mark.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Browserstack for automation our mobile app test cases. With the help of browserstack we can now run our test script in any number of device with just single subscription.

Best Tool For Optimizing Shopify and WooCommerce Store

  • March 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a front-end developer and own a Shopify store. However, to optimize my store, I need to test it across various browsers. So it's just easy for me because of the browser stack. Testing it on multiple devices and at different locations is quite simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The browser stack will occasionally stop responding. and process an error when uploading the item. This is some serious issue need to be resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me lot to optimize my shopify store. I can check the performance on different browsers with different OS.

Would suggest if you testing is an imp part and you need a lot of devices. Prices are a little more.

What do you like best about the product?
- The time in eyes of a development and testing has greatly reduced, for a developer like myself it serves in terms of ease of use and implementation.
- I have been using it almost daily since my previous internship gig where I was the sole front-end web-dev shop.
- The fact that I don't have to switch between VMs and follow a cumbersome flow is satisfying, it has saved my time and energy by a lot.
- Have tried alternatives like Lambdatest, but they fumble and break very often. The integration with most of the applications at my work was also not very doable.Took a lot of efforts. Browserstack solved all these problems.
- The support of real devices and not emulator/simulator is the best feature - the app live feature. Love this, emulators work but there's obviously a clear difference.
- The whole process of testing has become more streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Since it is a public cloud model with req-response cycles, it is slow obviously. And with an increasing number of tests, it feels a little annoying to be spending so much, but as a developer's POV, I can deal with this.
- There have been issues where running my tests on local worked perfectly, but on browserstack they gave weird unexpected errors like the test kept stuck on a loop forever until timeout.
- It fails with an error of "element not found" when I can clearly see it. It works perfectly on local as well. The locator is unique.
- When working with VPNs, it gives a lot of issues. Don't know how but the same tests without the VPN work perfectly. Using Palo Alto VPN.
- The customer support I have never used personally, so can't comment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Testing our website and application is the most integral part as that is where our business comes from as an org. The testing pipeline has been streamlined, thanks to Browserstack.
- testing on a wide range of devices and browsers was a very compulsive and cumbersome task before, which has been easier due to using this product.
- The integration with a lot of frameworks has been a boon, being a multinational company, we have been able to test different things with integration of different frameworks using a unified product. this greatly helps the devleoper, and once a developer gets the hang of using this product, he can use it to do a wide range of activities.
- Video recording and screenshots have been an advantage to onboard new developers.
