Great for Remote Team Collaboration on Document Sharing and Approvals
What do you like best about the product?
It’s great for team collaboration around document sharing, review, and approval—especially when co-workers aren’t working out of the same office.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s expensive, and the mobile app’s features are limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to integrate with many third-party applications, such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Slack, and more.
Easy Task Tracking, Time Management, and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to track tasks, manage time, and work collaboratively with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its logic features are difficult to use and/or lacking. For example, you can’t prevent certain columns from remaining an option when a particular choice has already been selected in a previous column.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to track sales, schedule production, capture leads, and monitor compliance. The automation feature helps by notifying us when sales are due to ship and when we need to renew certifications. The integration feature is also helpful because it lets us pull information directly from our database, so we don’t have to enter the same data twice, which reduces our workload.
Monday Helps Make Task Tracking Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it connects with Slack. I tend to pay more attention to my Slack alerts than my email alerts. Receiving notifications in Slack helps me keep track of my work management better. It is a great feature. The user experience is also improved and easier for me to find things and follow tasks that I have pending.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't necessarily dislike the platform, but I feel like there are so many new features on the platform that I'm unaware of that it makes me feel like I'm just scratching the surface. From a cost perspective, my CEO says we need to utilize the tool more because the price has increased and we need to justify the cost. But I feel like with all the features available, there is so much I'm unaware of and I think receiving notifications or tutorials that appear when you login could be helpful so that I am lightly forced to view the new feature but with the ability to skip past it if I choose to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work Management is solving the issues we're having regarding clients, assigning tasks, and time management. Our team consists of full time employees and independent contractors. The independent contractors get paid for the time they contribute to projects. These projects also get split between employees of different roles. The Work Management feature makes it easy to create a task, assign the task to a team member, record the time spent, and communicate with each other regarding the task with details and feedback.
User-Friendly, Visually Polished Platform That Makes Collaboration Simple
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love how user-friendly and visually satisfying this program is to use. It makes collaborating with others simple, helps us understand our goals, keeps the team updated, and supports us in accomplishing what we set out to do. We also love being able to collaborate in one place, use their AI-based suggestion and assistance tool, and even attend Monday University so we can keep learning how to use the program to its maximum benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only aspect I dislike is that some features don’t update automatically. For example, when a status changes for a specific project, I don’t always get notified. I know I can set up an automation, but it can be a bit confusing and tricky, especially with how many options are presented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us solve the challenges of collaboration across different teams and departments so we can work together to complete a variety of projects. We’re able to keep each other updated in real time, add images, and assign tasks to different people, which makes the whole process more efficient and helps us get things done. It’s amazing, honestly!
Customizable Workflow with Smooth Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I used monday Work Management for tracking tasks, creating, and automating service visits with my team. I like the ability to personalize each task and tablet, and it's great how I can add a member of my team and assign a task to my coworkers. I appreciate being able to create and design my own workflow, which helps a lot as each company's process is always different. I can adapt monday Work Management to the way my workflow moves. It also helps me create order with a large number of tasks to manage every day, and the reminders and automations save me a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be great if we can connect and automate monday Work Management with others API's like Gmail emails, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday Work Management helps me create order with tasks, saves time with automation, tracks tasks, creates service visits, purchase tablets, and manages inventory.
Snappy Performance, Great Integrations, and an Appealing UI
What do you like best about the product?
The application integrations, the appealing UI for the user, and the snappy performance of the application
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, the AI is progressing, but not where I need it to be right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A workspace where it is easy to onboard new projects for our team.
Streamlined Project Management with Intuitive Features
What do you like best about the product?
I love seeing the boards at a glance, which gives me and my clients a clear picture when we offload services to others. Using monday Work Management, I can get a quick temperature reading of a project, and the notifications are specific to individuals, keeping my clients in the loop without overwhelming them with excessive communication. I also enjoy that monday Work Management is really my personal tool that I enjoy managing projects for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I wish I could give monday Work Management a vision and have it respond with a suggested board or tool to use instead of having to search for something that I may not have the right name for. Developing new boards can be a barrier to entry. A year and a half ago, I purchased additional expert services which were amazing but a little pricey, and I needed that hand-holding. If there was an AI equivalent to that, where we could easily get some guidance instead of guessing, it would be helpful. I've tried integrating with other tools like Microsoft Teams, but I didn't find it was really useful for others I was collaborating with. The initial setup was easy, but I was intimidated, and it was better to hire an expert to walk me through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday Work Management solves my procrastination, keeps me connected with clients and contractors, and lets us share updates easily without lengthy emails, enhancing clarity on project progress.
Centralized student onboarding has transformed tutor workflows and now supports automated attendance
What is our primary use case?
monday.com acts like a very user-friendly CRM tool that helps us keep our users in check. What we do is run the systems for student accounts and student onboarding, which is the data that gets stored onto monday.com. We use monday.com for its better user experience so that we can extend the access to our tutors, which will have access to all the students in their particular classes, and they can take some actions based on what they want.
For example, we can provide a monday.com admin action to mark attendance, and the tutor can use that board to mark the attendance for a particular student, and there could be back-end automations running to do the same for the user. There are a couple of automations that run in monday.com, which is probably Google Sheets on steroids with enhanced features, multiple processes, and even automations baked into it.
As those automations are not fulfilling our purpose, we can have certain values of a column updated or certain parameters of any particular item updated using monday.com automations directly. For example, we can set up automation in monday.com that will mark something that runs every Monday and marks something based on having recurring classes every Monday.
If we have an absent flow, when the tutor marks absent, we can trigger a particular value in a certain board using monday.com automations. For more complex scenarios, we use the webhooks feature for monday.com so that we can better handle our use cases by calling a webhook in Make.com, Zapier.com, or N8N and call them to do complex workflows directly on monday.com.
The main use case for monday.com is that, and apart from that, the other day-to-day workflows would be the seamless integrations between multiple different boards and the mirror column facility, which facilitates data to be on one single board but displaying across multiple different regions. With monday.com, we are able to handle thousands and thousands of students that we intake based on our different education brands, like test prep, med prep, or even school-level mathematics.
Having monday.com makes it more centralized where we can handle student accounts only in one board and then for different classes, we can extend access to different boards and use mirror columns to showcase the students while we still have one central source of truth.
What is most valuable?
Probably the best feature of monday.com would be the intuitive user interface and user experience, which any user who has used Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel would find themselves familiar with, along with built-in automations, the ability to call webhooks, and the various number of column types.
The better user interface and user experience definitely stand out to me because this is a tool that can be used for both the development team as well as extended access to the consumer or the customer side of the system, or in our case, the tutors and other relevant stakeholders who need not understand the deep technicals of things but can take actions directly from the board.
What needs improvement?
We run into technical issues a lot with monday.com, where certain errors just pop up randomly, and we would want to have a little bit more developer-friendly part from monday.com. There could be better communication with mirror columns or have a better experience in terms of the technical side of it and not the front-end side of it, which can be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I started using monday.com probably two years ago, and with this particular company, I have been using it extensively, so I have around one and a half to two years of experience working with monday.com.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Because of the technical issues that we run into on a monthly basis, if those can be improved, the score can definitely be improved.
How are customer service and support?
Tutor satisfaction is definitely one of the points that I would like to share about monday.com. Before monday.com, we were using HubSpot, which, even though it is a very good technical tool, does not provide a very good user interface for people who are not working in sales or people who do not really want to know the technical side of things. Having a simpler UI with technical functionalities of a backend and a good user-initiative front-end, where we can change labels based on certain parameters, is definitely something that the tutors were eager to try out, and they really liked the systems from the time we set it up.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for those looking into using monday.com is to probably start using it, especially if they are dealing with stakeholders who would want to review things directly on the database side and take actions directly on their own, as monday.com would definitely provide a good user interface and experience for that. I also advise the technical team to probably use a side automation platform such as Make.com or a script running on some cloud to talk between platforms using the automation functionality of monday.com.
We have very good GraphQLs for monday.com that help us do most of the work, with the monday.com community also being good enough to push updates on a regular basis. A one-word description for monday.com is "Google Sheets on steroids", and I think I would stick to that. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.
monday.com Makes Task Tracking Easy with Clean, Customizable Boards
What do you like best about the product?
In my current work, monday.com has been really helpful for organizing tasks and tracking progress across different projects. The interface is clean and visually easy to understand, which makes it simples to manage work without feeling overwhelmed.
I like how customizable the boards are you can set up workflows. statuses, and columns based on your needs. it works well for both simple task tracking and more structured project management. The visual aspect(like timeline and status indicators) helps in quickly understanding what's on track and what needs attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I've noticed i that it can take a bit of time to set things up properly, especially if you're trying to build more detailed workfows. Also, as boards grow larger, it can sometimes feel slightly cluttered if not managed well.
Pricing can also be a consideration for smaller teams, depending on the features required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday.com helps in keeping all tasks, updates, and projects details in one place. Earlier, tracking progress across differenty team members was not clear, but now everything is visible and structured.
it improves collaboration since everything can updates their tasks, add comments, and track progress in real time. This reduces confusiion and helps the team stay aligned. Overall, it has made project management more organized and easier to handle on a daily basis.
