Customizable but Needs More Guidance
What do you like best about the product?
I like that monday Work Management is customizable. It lets you do all the things you want, like notifying the right people at the right time. There are a lot of options for how a project might be configured. It's valuable for a wide variety of project management tasks, including social media management, revisions, design, copy, and planning. I think the ease of setup was another highlight; it was extremely easy for our team to get started. It's really good at what it does, and I don't see anything else as good as it on the scale we need to work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the customization feels like too much, and it's not clear the best way to set something up. Even though they have a lot of templates to help, there's not a lot of guidance. I wish it suggested ways to make setting up easier or offered rules-based solutions for recurring tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use monday Work Management to centralize project management, providing visibility and organization to avoid jumping around in chats and emails.
Centralized Workflow Made Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Work is very centralized - it is a one stop shop for integral information & managing our custom workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't select more than 500 items at a time & can't do recurring tasks without a higher price plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seems like Monday is working on platform performance - specifically page loads & lagging dashboards. This will be extremely beneficial for me, as I have previously experienced extremely slow page loads on Monday which leads to drastically decreased efficiency.
Customizable and Great for Collaboration, But Workspace Management Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is highly customizable, allowing you to create templates and link boards together. It's especially useful for tracking tasks across various stakeholders and teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using workspaces you have to invite users to each individual workspace and it is difficult to pull data easily and centralise it from multiple workspaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us improve how we interact internally and monitor the progress of our project launches. We also use it as a platform to communicate with our clients during onboarding, allowing them to follow project status in real time and leave updates and comments.
Versatile, User-Friendly Work OS with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love how monday Work Management serves as the main work OS for my job, allowing our agency to catalog and track every job for our clients effectively. It solves many problems by helping us move client work smoothly from ideation to completion. The platform's versatility stands out, letting my company use it not just for tracking client work, but also for internal processes through Workspaces and Boards. I find it really convenient to dynamically add and change columns to collect relevant data and notify important parties of an item's status. The smart dashboard visuals that automatically show data summaries are a fantastic feature. Additionally, I can keep track of personal things like vacation time and daily tasks in my personal Workspace. Despite not being perfect, I consider it the best work OS, easier to get the hang of than Jira, and it has a much lower entrance barrier for onboarding new users compared to similar platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
monday Work Management has come a long way since my team started using it in 2020, but there are still some features I'd like to see—particularly related to subitems. With subitems, this workflow isn't possible because subitems cannot be automatically populated on other boards. We use a workaround by assigning the main item and including the relevant details to each individual in the update to direct them towards the specific subitem, but this breaks our natural workflow and can sometimes get confusing when different teams are simultaneously posting updates for their work. It'd be nice if subitems could function similarly to main items with automations and notifications to avoid this extra effort. We don't have any other direct integrations, despite the fact that we also use other software, because the existing plugins made by monday and other developers do not cater to our workflow. For instance, we use Quickbooks Desktop, but there is only a plugin for Quickbooks Online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday Work Management streamlines client work from ideation to completion, enabling effortless communication via shared briefs. It tracks job status, enhances billing, and provides CRM access. Its versatility accommodates workflows with customizable columns and dashboards, organizing tasks even for personal use effectively.
Streamlined Project Tracking, Exceptional Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to add several deliverables under each project and set milestones. I can update the dates, and the changes are tracked, which is really helpful. I also appreciate being able to update percentages and assign tasks to different team members. They receive a notification when a task is assigned, which keeps communication seamless.

Effortless Task Management and Automation for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to make multiple boards for different purposes and connect them to be dynamic and automated. I find it helpful to manage everyday tasks and long-term projects, while including the right people on my team to be notified of things that are relevant to them. I think it's easy to visualize completed tasks and automate notifications when things need to get done or when a deadline is approaching.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a long time to adjust a work culture to all be on the platform at a consistent utilization. It takes lots of practice to create efficient processes to use the boards effectively. Some integrations and automations are not yet supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping cross-team collaboration, knowledge transfer, and project management.
Flexible and User-Friendly for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love how monday Work Management is flexible enough to build any solution needed, yet simple enough for casual users to follow along easily. This flexibility is especially valuable for our team because it allows for vastly different setups and arrangements based on project type and timeline, all while maintaining consistent building blocks that make it easy to jump in and understand what's happening. The user-friendly features and various views are particularly helpful for accommodating our team’s different working styles, enhancing overall communication and collaboration. I also appreciate how the workspaces can function in very different ways, showcasing the platform's adaptability. The combination of flexibility and user-friendliness in monday Work Management significantly contributes to our productivity and team efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could have an item live on multiple boards, as communications can get siloed or buried if we have duplicates via connect columns. There's also not a perfect 'my work' view- more customization would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use monday Work Management to enhance cross-team communication, streamline project tracking, manage tasks, and facilitate resource use while simplifying content sharing and approval processes.
Customizable and Centralized Risk Management
What do you like best about the product?
I use monday Work Management to identify operational risks, streamline information flow across teams, and ensure our processes remain compliant, which significantly centralizes our work. This centralization allows issues to surface faster, decisions to be clearer, and control maintenance to be more straightforward. monday Work Management provides me with a single, reliable platform to manage risk activities, documentation, and accountability throughout their lifecycle. I particularly like the control it offers me, enabling customization to meet our specific needs instead of relying on generic templates. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for managing multiple business units, as it allows the software to be precisely what we require. Additionally, I really enjoy taking complex tasks and creating workflows that automate and simplify the work processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to impersonate a view that another user has, which would be helpful in terms of managing some controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use monday Work Management to streamline information flow, manage risks, and ensure compliance, providing a centralized platform for clearer decisions and accountability.
Transforms Workflows into Engaging, Accountable Processes
What do you like best about the product?
What stands out to me is how much easier it is to integrate daily workflows into engaging tools, making the process both enjoyable and more meaningful. This approach also ensures greater visibility and accountability across different departments and time zones.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some users may find it challenging to move beyond the basic table layout and explore the more visually appealing options for navigating and managing the data being tracked and entered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking work across staff and projects becomes much easier, and it's clear who is responsible for each task and when everything is due. This tool helps translate the way people think about their work into action, allowing things to get done without requiring individuals to manage every detail themselves.
Essential for Editorial Workflow Clarity and Team Coordination
What do you like best about the product?
As the editorial director overseeing several magazine titles, each with its own unique versions and publishing schedules, I rely heavily on monday.com. We use it to monitor every page via dedicated boards and carefully structured workflows. This ensures there is always complete clarity about the status of each page and the next steps required. It keeps my fully remote, international team coordinated and prepared to move forward efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
We organize our boards by using multiple groups to separate different editions. However, when it's time to refresh the boards for a new year, the manual task of setting up new groups on the same board for the sake of continuity ends up being more time-consuming than necessary (duplicating several groups at once would be helpful, as well as being able to move several groups at once from one board to another). I'm hopeful that the newly integrated AI tools will help streamline this process in the coming year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work Management helps my fully remote, international team stay coordinated and meet deadlines, even as we juggle several projects at once. By setting up shared boards with our magazine partners, we increase transparency and ensure that all communication related to a specific project is centralized. This eliminates the confusion of searching through email, text, or Slack to find important messages.
