Simple, Reliable File Sharing and Collaboration Across Devices

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Dropbox is how simple and reliable it is for file storage and sharing. Uploading, organizing, and accessing files across devices works smoothly, and sharing links with access controls makes collaboration easy without worrying about file versions or manual transfers.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Dropbox is the storage limits on lower-tier plans, which can feel restrictive over time. Pricing increases as storage needs grow, and some advanced features are locked behind higher plans. Sync performance can also occasionally slow down when handling very large files or folders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of storing, accessing, and sharing files securely across devices and locations. It eliminates the need for physical storage or manual file transfers and keeps files in sync automatically. This benefits me by improving collaboration, reducing the risk of data loss, and making important files available anytime, from any device.

Using Dropbox

  • January 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is how intuitive and dependable it is for collaboration. It makes sharing files and working across teams feel seamless, with real-time access and version control that help keep everyone aligned and on the same page. I also value the security features and the ability to access my files from anywhere, which adds efficiency and flexibility to my day-to-day work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don’t like about Dropbox is that many advanced features and higher storage limits are often locked behind premium plans, which can feel restrictive for smaller teams or individual users. From time to time, syncing large files also takes longer than I expect, depending on network conditions. Even with these drawbacks, the platform’s overall reliability and ease of use still outweigh them for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps solve the challenge of securely storing, organizing, and sharing files across teams and devices. It reduces version confusion and cuts down the time I spend tracking down the most up-to-date documents by keeping everything in one accessible place. For me, this means better collaboration, smoother workflows, and the ability to work efficiently from anywhere, with confidence that my files are current and secure.

What I like best about Dropbox is how reliable it is—you can set it up once and trust it to work. File syncing happens smoothly in the background without needing much attention. It works well across devices, so your files are always accessible anywhere. The version history and recovery features are especially helpful if something is deleted or overwritten by mistake. Overall, it makes managing and sharing files simple and stress-free.

What I dislike about Dropbox is that the free storage space is pretty limited compared to some competitors. The pricing can feel expensive if you need more storage. Sometimes syncing issues happen, especially with very large folders or lots of small files. The desktop app can also use a noticeable amount of system resources. Overall, it’s great, but it could be more generous and efficient.

It removes the hassle of manually transferring files or worrying about losing important data. The easy sharing and collaboration features make working with others faster and more organized. Backup and version history help protect against accidental deletions or mistakes. Overall, it saves time, reduces stress, and keeps my work accessible wherever I am
