Dropbox customer service has been great and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the space gets full i cant just upgrade 1TB at a time. I am an indivudual who makes content and needs to back things up as i go but like i dont need the next business plan where i have to pay for 3 users when it only me. This is the part where its frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
giving space on cloud. i also noticed that when i back up my phone not all the footage gets backedup. so that is annoying

Solid storage performance but growth tactics have made it annoying and untrustworthy

What do you like best about the product?
Reliable syncing. I've been using Dropbox for almost 20 years on Mac OS / iOS and the syncing performance and stability have been excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the last 5 years Dropbox's increased focus on corporate growth has injected what was once a beautifully simple customer-focused saas into a cluttered mess full of dark patterns, obnoxious upsell banners masquerading as 'friendly' 'helpful' messages, and deceptive UX that pushes user signups and team plans above all else. Even paying 'pro' plan users and incessantly bombarded with tricky copywriting to upgrade to business, and there no way to shut it up.

Because of this I've stopped using it for file sharing with my parents and other family members. The recipient experience is a confusing, cluttered mess full of sign up booby traps.

As a result I have no longer any trust in this company nor can advocate for the user experience like I used to. I put up with it only because of its excellent cloud storage integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data backup, file sharing

The only downside I find in using Dropbox is that I use it so much I need more space but I guess that's a me problem.
