  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox was fairly easy to use once I got the hang of it. I was able to navigate through it easily and find what I needed with the click of a button. I also like that it has an add-on feature on the computer, and that it translates easily into the app from my computer. Overall, it’s a decent program.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like Dropbox could improve by not always asking whether I’d like to subscribe, since it comes across as constant advertising.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me keep my affairs in order and stay organized.

Reliable Cloud Storage That Simplifies File Sharing

  • January 29, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple and reliable Dropbox is. File syncing is fast, and I rarely have to think about whether something saved correctly, it just works. The cross-device access is great too; I can start something on my computer and open it instantly on my phone. Sharing files with others is straightforward, and the permission controls are easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage limits on lower-tier plans feel restrictive compared to competitors, and pricing can add up quickly if you need more space. Sometimes the desktop app can be a bit resource-heavy, and version history or advanced features are locked behind higher plans. I also wish offline access and file previews were more flexible without needing extra setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of accessing and sharing files across different devices and with other people. It makes sure that the latest version of a document is available wherever I am, whether I’m on my laptop, phone, or tablet, without having to manually transfer files. It also eliminates the need to email large attachments, since I can just share a link with proper permissions. This benefits me by saving time, reducing confusion over file versions, and improving collaboration with colleagues or clients.

I like Dropbox for its reliability and easy access to files, which saves time, keeps files organized, and makes collaboration seamless. Using Dropbox with tools like Slack and Trello helps me share files and keep documents synced, making collaboration easier. Dropbox was also easy to set up, and accessing and sharing files was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Dropbox could improve file search, offline access, and syncing large files to make daily use smoother.

Secure, Versatile Storage with Room to Improve

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Dropbox allows me to upload files from both desktop and mobile devices, making it really flexible for my needs. Another feature I appreciate is the expiration of shared link settings. It lets me share files temporarily rather than indefinitely, which is great for managing how long others have access to my folders without having to remember to stop sharing. Additionally, I find Dropbox more secure compared to other options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features require the professional version to access all functions. Offline files and folders, searching in documents, and larger transfers are only available in the Plus plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox provides cloud storage and allows file uploads from both desktop and mobile. I like the expiration settings for shared links, which let me share files temporarily without the need to remember to stop sharing later.

Simple, reliable cloud storage that just works.

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is very easy to set up and use, with a clean, intuitive interface that makes it straightforward to store, sync, and share files. Sync across devices is reliable, so I can move between laptop, phone, and tablet without worrying about version conflicts or missing files.

I like that it integrates well with tools like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, which makes collaboration and document editing smoother. Smart Sync and automatic backup features help save local disk space while still keeping everything accessible when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is pricing and storage: once you outgrow the free plan, you often have to jump to a large storage tier, which can feel expensive if you do not need that much space. For organizations, plans can get pricey at scale compared with some competitors that offer more storage or collaboration tools for a similar cost.

Occasionally, syncing large folders or many small files can be slow, and the desktop app can feel heavy on startup. Granular permission controls are decent but could be more flexible for complex, company‑wide deployments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized, cloud‑based storage so files are no longer scattered across personal drives, email attachments, and shared USB sticks. This reduces the risk of losing important documents and makes it easier for everyone to find what they need.

Seamless collaboration on documents and media assets, thanks to simple file sharing, shared folders, and good cross‑platform support.

Remote work enablement, since team members can securely access files from anywhere and on any device, without VPNs or local file servers.

Peace of mind through version history and recovery, which helps restore accidentally deleted or overwritten files without involving IT.

Effortless File Sharing and Integration

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the request file sharing feature where people can simply upload content using a link. I also like that Dropbox connects to other platforms and gets added into my Mac Finder. I can request content from those with no Dropbox account, allowing me to accumulate content. It's great that it integrates with basic marketing platforms but more importantly, it integrates with a third-party reporting platform that provides a shareable link of Salesforce reports. The setup for my account was simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to the business account, I still get confused why some folders are under my name and some folders are living outside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps by providing a central hub for all our internal materials. I like that people can upload content via a link, and it integrates with other platforms like my Mac Finder and a third-party reporting tool for Salesforce. It's handy for requesting content from those without an account.
