We love using DB

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DB makes it simple to upload files to the cloud and share for collaboration. Long gone are the days of flash drives and carriers when now we can upload and start working on projects in real time anywhere. We love that the team at DB is always innovative and looking for more ways to make file sharing, storing, and collaboration easier. They are more than a cloud storage company they have become another employee to us. We highly recommend them for all your business and personal files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I can't find anything negative to say about DB. Maybe one thing I could say that needs to be fixed is that if you upload a single file to the main DB folder it shows up across all platforms it would be nice to have better control over single files and new folders once you create them. Maybe have a window that asks which devices do you want to have this folder/file visible on rather than having to go to each device and removing it manually by checking the box on visibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps us connected and working together in real time no matter where we are

Seamless sharing across devices

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work on multiple devices, and Dropbox is by far the easiest and most seamless way to access files. I have desktop PC's at my office and at home, plus a SurfacePro, tablet and my phone. I am able to store my files on my hard drives of my computers, and access them from the cloud on my other devices. Unlike other products (OneDrive, etc.), I can access and edit my documents just as if I was working on a local device (which I am), but they are synced across all devices. Finally, you can log into your account from a guest device and access individual files and documents without installing the app or linking the device.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints at all about Dropbox. Occasionally, I will have conflicting documents if I have them open on multiple devices simultaneously, but Dropbox labels them as conflicts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working on multiple devices

Beautifully Simple

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox allows me to simply connect different devices, documents, files, folders, pictures and anything else I need to send to other people or simply for myself to access in different ways in different places. Dropbox is beautifully simple and allows my so much flexibility and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of dropbox is that its dependent on network connection. That is really it. I have been in locations where I have tried to pull up documents that I needed but it took a while because of the remote location.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Dropbox, I had to print everything I may have needed for my job just in case. With Dropbox I can upload whatever I need and be able to access it remotely with my Ipad. Dropbox is making sharing large files, documents and everything with my current job really easy.

When compiling code, I usually have to pause dropbox, otherwise it causes errors.

If you don't have a Dropbox It's a No-Brainer To Get One

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, convenience and simplicity of it is wonderful. If I had a need for lots of storage I would absolutely expand the plan I have with them as much as necessary. It's intuitive, simple, and time-saving. What is not to like?
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything. Their free teir is generous and their paid plans are basically very reasonable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A simple way to keep files in the cloud temporarily or permanently until they are needed.

Dropbox - Easy to Use and Share Files

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share files, big storage space. Auto transcriptions of videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that both you and the receiving person are "charged" for the space that the files take when you share them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it easy to share my files with team members and clients. Also for video, the autotranscription is huge. having a number of integrations is helpful

Dropbox has done everything I’ve needed it to in terms of cloud-based storage.

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I share files with people outside my organization with limited experience with shared folders. The folders have been deleted frequently by others. The ability to back them up and restore them easily has been beneficial. Being able to select which folders I want local vs in the cloud helps keep my computer clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating the online interface can be clunky at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to store large volumes of files and to selectively share files and folders with others outside my organization.
