I really love the ease of use and the UI design. Everything feels straightforward and easy to navigate.

Sometimes the documentation can feel a bit lacking, but that’s a minor issue since I can usually find the solution anyway.

We needed a tool to provide a LoadBalancer IP for our Kubernetes services, and HAProxy solved our problems.

It’s ultrafast, reliable, and highly efficient. It offers elite traffic management, flexible ACLs, advanced health checks, and massive scalability, making it the gold standard for high-load, mission-critical environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
has a steep learning curve, lacks a built-in management GUI, and depends on syslog for logging. Its UDP support is limited, and managing complex configurations can feel daunting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HAProxy solves several critical infrastructure problems, primarily focused on availability, performance, and security.
Precise ACL Routing and Predictable Performance Under Load
What do you like best about the product?
The best about HAProxy is the precise ACL-based routing and how predictable it behaves under load—debugging is straightforward and rarely feels like guesswork.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing like that which is feel like a con.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HAProxy solved uneven load distribution and opaque routing we had before—traffic is now balanced exactly how we define it, and we can trace decisions via logs. That’s reduced incident time and eliminated a lot of trial-and-error debugging.
Rock-Solid Reliability You Can Forget It’s There

I just runs. We’ve been using it for years and sometimes it’s easy to forget it’s there

The configurations can be a bit cryptic.

It's stability, it just always work and often forgotten in a corner, it's flexibility and it's load balancing capabilities

So stable that people forget it even exist, yet always there

We have it as a "load balancer", mostly targeting a single stateful API backed with hot swapable instances
