What do you like best about the product?
Most powerful visualization tool I've used to date
What do you dislike about the product?
Have to be very detailed and specific about events you are tracking, as well as their labels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization of data and user behavior patterns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your homework, but make sure you get a thorough demo and talk to other customers in your industry.

Detailed insights driving high level strategies

What do you like best about the product?
With Amplitude you can do pretty everything is needed to understand consumption of your product.
It also helped us the also understand the different levels of engagement to then target these users through CRM but also through advertising (re-targetting).
It's super easy to create cohorts to then connect them to advertising platform for instance, or CRM tools and that's what, I would say, I like best.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say we still miss an easy connection to the different app stores but also to some major advertising platforms (Apple Search Ads or Criteo). But I guess you work in building partnerships with Amplitude and this will come soon or later :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us to find the right KPIs .
But also it helped us to understand who were our most valuable users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product for small and large companies. Everything is here for you to understand usage of your product and it's audience.
Absolutely necessary if you want to build a data driven company

Amplitude is great for product teams

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is relatively an easy tool to use for anyone with a background in analytics (an I assume even without it).
It is relatively easy to find data in it and they have good explanation of certain types of analysis you could do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Amplitude could do a better job if it integrates a bit more information about how to use the different reports inside the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a user researcher I mostly use it to track behavioral analytics (e.g. event frequency, usage interval, etc.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you manage a product you will find it to be very beneficial to work with Amplitude analytics. It will help you seeing different data points about your product and better understand your users.

Amplitude for a B2B Saas software

What do you like best about the product?
Simple reports are very easy to build. Funnels and simple event count reports are very intuitive to get up and running quickly. Also plenty of help content on simple flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Report management can get a little overwhelming. If you don't stay on top of it, you can quickly have hundreds of reports all living on one page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to understand user paths and activity in a much more granular way which has helped significantly when making product decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use to quickly and efficiently visualize key data points and cohorts without the SQL experience or ad hoc support from our internal data team.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some issues with implementation, but after we made it through these issues it was easy going with plenty of support from the Amplitude team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking MAU / Retention / Churn along with daily key metrics that help dive engagement, revenue, and build relevant cohorts to target.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go into implementation and set up with a plan that includes all stake holders from your internal teams that will be using this platform daily: Data, Sales, Growth/Marketing, and Product

Easy to Use and Even Easier to Communicate Insights

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- The charts are extensive and straight forward
- The visualizations are well designed
- Easy to share insights with colleagues
- There is a lot of insights you can gain from looking at your data through Amplitude, from the Pathfinder functionality to looking at Retention, which allows you to dig into your raw data in ways that sets it apart from other tools
What do you dislike about the product?
- The real time functionality needs a little work, it would be helpful in terms of QAing to be able to see whether or not events are firing a little bit quick
- New sessions should not be created whenever a users opens a new tab, but rather be browser session specific. Since we are tracking events that go through a funnel that introduces a likelihood of opening a new tab or window, it tends to conflate the numbers and doesn't really allow us to look at unique users in the way we would like. Further, it conflates the Page View event since each new tab event is a unique session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- The North Star metric methodology allows me to align different teams around the same goals as well as track important bench marks
- Whenever something looks amiss in the data, Amplitude makes it easy to dig in and identify the problem.
- The cohort functionality allows me to look at my users in different ways and identify the right groups to target
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- It is worth the extra money to get the valuable insights your company needs.

    Computer Software

An excellent, easy to use tool to track your tests

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I come from Adobe Analytics/Adobe Omniture, and that was super complex to use.

With amplitude I can easily draft out a chart in the Event Segmentation and figure out if my a/b tests are running properly. This is also super easy/fast to set up so I can get a chart running (or I can copy a chart from someone else) and start building!

I like the different views as well, such as the realtime views, the daily average/hourly average/etc. Even more would be great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations in the realtime graphs, I'd like to be able to see more than 1 day's. I'd like to also see more chart options!

Adding in more analysis tools, adding Chi square tests, standard deviation, confidence interval calculations. Resources for non stats majors or people who simply forgot all their stats they learned in college.

Sometimes it is buggy when coming back from another tab (I see a white screen), and in that scenario I'd like to see it load faster.

Also I notice that the tests can be sort-of unreliable (i.e. control group consistently bigger than variant) but I think that's more on the way we flag users for A/B tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A/B Testing.

Benefits are that I can draw up a chart easily and report to others very quickly on how the rollouts or a/b tests are doing. If I want to do a quick analysis on two separate flags in production I can do it easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it if you think Adobe Analytics/Omniture is too difficult to use

Amplitude = Efficiency!

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes getting super quick insights on user behaviors so easy! I can be more confident in making product decisions and prioritizing bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to involve external teams and engineering resources to develop new events and/or properties. It becomes challenging to prioritize the dev work amongst all the other features we are working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making product decisions and reviewing user behaviors.

Makes it easy to decide A/B test

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create graph to compare two different flow
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the logs are logged most of time, but there are very few times it's fired and not logged.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we have A/B test, Amplitude data is good to decide which flow has a better experience
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amplitude is a life safer when we need to decide A/B test

Best product analytics

  • August 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It provides comprehensive and very convenient tools for product analysis based on events. If there is anything you can imagine to analyze - be sure Amplitude has it.

Besides of standard analysis tools like retention, event segmentation and funnel analysis it gives you quite cool features:

✅ Pathfinder - research the most popular user paths with interactive chart, much more convenient than similar tool in Google Analytics for example

✅ Engagement matrix allows you easily evaluate which parts of features of your app are the most used by most of users. You can see features adoption across all users or selected cohorts and also find ones which are used frequently

✅ Correlation matrix shows how likely users perform certain actions together with other actions within selected period.

✅ Impact is powerful feature to analyze how does one action affect to other actions. For example you can check if user allows push notifications how this will affect retention

✅ Cohorts and personal are quite useful for advanced segmentation

And one of the features I like the most is Notebook. You can build charts, combine them in dashboards and use them in daily analysis. But when you want to tell some story with your data, it's useful to combine data visualization with text and comments. Awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't recall anything. The only thing might be pretty high prices but free version of Amplitude is quite complete for starter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Gain users and customers insights
- Understand more about users begavior
- Get transparent picture of what is going out in my app
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth trying, it's free version is very useful. If you haven't described you events model, you will spend some time to do that and implement it, but one you do that — you'll be happy
