What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to chart and visualize data. There are some neuances if you leverage Segment and Amplitude together; however, it is well worth the investment. Using Amplitude, I can quickly understand if users are leveraging new features, which aspects need attention, and, importantly, what to remove.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in charts and visualizations are great; however, sometimes, a basic pivot table would help. Exporting data isn't great; most exports are in a formatted table that makes it hard to use it in general analytics. It's also easy to get lost in charts, especially if your account has many users. The more users who create charts, the more charts appear in the search. Tip, prune charts often, and try to have a naming convention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I leverage Amplitude for product analytics and user segmentation. To do this, I leverage Appcues for integrated NPS data; the combination of the two makes it easy to compare and contrast different user types. Further, with Appcues data, we're able to group users based on survey questions, providing additional data points to analyze usage.

If you're a b2b company, invest in the Group/Account feature

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a huge time saver. Once you get the gist of it, you can do complex analysis in minutes while it would take hours using another platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
You get what you pay for. Amplitude is an expensive BI platform, but well worth it considering how easy it is to use and the insights it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything you can do with SQL, you can do it faster and better with Amplitude. As a PM of a tech product, the biggest benefits are the time it saves and being able to teach Amplitude with no data background.

Amplitude is the kind of tool that makes data and insights accessible to anyone in a decision making position or just anyone interested, in comparison with google analytics amplitude offers, since the free version, a wither date range for analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
For the information provided by Amplitude to be helpful and gain insight, the setup process has to be very thorough and made by people with business sense; also, as it happens with digital products, event setup is a living process. Desing personalization when creating charts and dashboards is limited
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the beginning, it was just descriptive statistics to understand product performance, but after massification, we are using much more behavioral cohorts to capture value

Usage numbers , continuous monitoring of usage
Great tool but performance is lagging
What do you like best about the product?
Simple visualizations let you see product performance at a glance. If configured well by the org it's easy for business users to build their own dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is slow and getting slower every day. Sometimes charts spin for minutes before rendering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking A/B tests. Monitoring key business metrics like sales and revenue. Much easier than alternatives like writing SQL queries or using outdated products like Tableau
Easy to use and understand, good navigation, complete metrics
What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the funneling part of amplitude. It give me a tremendous insight to what happen on my conversion funnel right now. For other tools, i need to perform a data work first prior to get the insight.
What do you dislike about the product?
Chart insight legend (overall, average, last value), it should not dissapearing when we put more than 2 data/event parameter on the segmentation chart. Or at least somehow put option for the users to see it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can produce funnel insight in less than 10 minutes. This process usually take longer than 45 mins when using other tools because I need tp process and compile the dataset first.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you looking for analytics tools where you can produce insight within minutes and easy to use, this is it!

The funnel and segmentation abilities. Most problems can be answered easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The funnel conversion window is only 90 days. It costs $12,000/year to get a full year look.

Improving conversion funnels
A great tool for analytics with a lot a more future opportunities to grow
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is straightforward and easier to pick up. Some of the analysis types are intuitive. TL;DR- the tool does most of the work for you with some minimal tinkering from your end to make it yours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool sometimes is super slow to respond and bugs pop-up around filters and how the charts are displayed in the dashboard. It can provide more user control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All Product Analytics. We are able to read the trends clearly and make the right calls most of the time.
Quick, responsive, super easy.

The way you can easily query the data, and the UX tied to it - makes it easy to use for any role at the company.

Somewhat expensive subscription. Need to negotiate price often.

Following A/B tests, trouble shooting in general.
For most use cases, Amplitude has made it heaps easier to understand behavioral data

How simple it is to create visual representations of behavioral data.

Some features (such as Engagement Matrix) is currently not providing any insights - I would like to understand how I need to change/update instrumentation to get the full value out of these types of tools.
