Amplitude is the holy grail for retention and usage reporting for SaaS

What do you like best about the product?
I love the user education regarding how to measure engagement and retention for SaaS. The filters are flexible for us to drill down in to every user action and the out of the box retention reports + lifecycle analysis beats google analytics or mixpanel or pendo alike.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there is a capability to retroactively track historical data for tagging implementation. This is one of the main reasons where Pendo wins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
understanding user retention and why users drop off

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to make queries based on natural language. I rarely have a hard time figuring out how to do what I am trying to do.
It's also easy to share analysis with my teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing that causes issues for my team is that we'll launch a feature and then be unable to build dashboards around them. Usually this is an issue from our setup with segment events, but it would be nice if there was some way we would see if the dashboards were going to work before the feature is actually live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, we are trying to figure out different aspects of user behavior, like click-through rate on specific buttons, or conversion through larger, more complex flows.

Detailed analytics, powerful visualizations, heavy implementation lift

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude offers a wide variety of formats for creating rich and easy-to-share data insights. All users on an Amplitude instance can share their work easily, and modifying a chart to explore a variable or dig deeper on a question is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not an engineer, but I understand that there is a heavy lift in getting Amplitude installed. All event tracking is manually implemented, so if there are events that you want to track in Amplitude, you have to configure the event before Amplitude will track anything for that event. I understand that some competitors have simplified this process, making it easier to explore the history of an event triggering without so much manual effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to understand how users engage with some of our products and how we can better educate and help users. The main benefit is how quickly a chart can be created to analyze a specific usage pattern.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implement some formal training for users on which events exist in your instance.

Top tool for product analytics

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to track at the group level vs user level is critical for us. The integration and SDKs are straightforward and well documented. Most of the charts and analysis tools are also intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were auto-generated cohorts based on a start event, like signup. Right now we have to manually create the cohorts, which is inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude to track how our users are interacting with our product. It's been a great tool to help us improve our onboarding, retention and engagement.

Amplitude: Analytics at your fingertips

What do you like best about the product?
Creating funnels and segmentation charts within seconds, adding filters, grouping it by properties and saving the reports in a dashboard makes it your go to tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The features could have been more exhaustive. Had to raise several support tickets for very basic funnel charts which can't be created yet on amplitude. Incorporating customer feedback and sharing updates on whether or not the feature will get added along with a tentative timeline would definitely help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to create multiple funnel charts in our onboarding journey. Also using it to understand the health of our acquisition funnel. Recently started using the beta feature to understand the drop off and converted paths.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would advice people to understand their needs first and then evaluate Amplitude if it solves them.

Great company building a comprehensive analytics toolkit

What do you like best about the product?
Basic charts are executed well, and the Persona chart type is a real differentiator. Clustering can take significant time to execute with Python, so we're able to iterate much faster on behavioral profiling than we would relying entirely on our data warehouse.

It's also really nice to have experimentation, analytics, and data governance all in one platform. This is actively allowing our product teams to build experiment velocity and iterate on analytics without feeling like mediocre instrumentations decisions made years ago are a blocker to getting good insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
In certain regions, our teams occasionally have performance issues. The data governance tools are still rough around the edges, particularly if you want to provide a single internal source of truth for your event schema. However, they're very receptive to feedback from beta users, so I'm confident these issues are a priority and will be addressed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have hundreds of events, multiple surfaces, and comparatively few analysts. Amplitude provides a significant dollar value savings in time to quantitative insight for our product and design teams, leaving the capacity for our analysts to focus on deeper work.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude helps me make informed decisions about product direction because I can see what users are actually doing in the product rather than relying solely on qaulitative information.
What do you dislike about the product?
They could improve the customization of graphics and provide easier documentation to understand how to get the most benefit from the product.

I use amplitude to understand what aspects of my product are most used by customers to inform product direction and strategy

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to edit and filter by exactly what I want to see and also cohort my data be the exact users I want to view results for
What do you dislike about the product?
Can get a little complicated with literally thousands of different things you can do. Can be overwhelming at first.

We are using Amplitude to visualize all of our Customer Data, to understand what our customers are doing and where their pain points are

What do you like best about the product?
This is the best analytics platform I've used. It is really easy to upload data, really easy to create charts, and provides good AI to help us make better decisions
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software will take a while to upload with the latest data, or the site will go down. But overall we really like the platform and do not have many bad things to say
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to integrate all our data from various sources into one location, to provide executive level dashboards to help us make data driven decisions for our business
