What do you like best about the product?
I like that's a tool accessible to everyone regardless of their technical background. In other words, you don't need to know SQL or other coding languages to use amplitude.
What do you dislike about the product?
Firstly, there are some basic SQL limitations, for example, you can't use "or" arguments on the where clause. Second, It has limitations in terms of the analysis you can build with it outside form the proposed templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly usage and retention problems. One huge benefit is that you can easily identify how users are interacting with your app (with the pathfinder for example). Also, I loved the recent feature "historical count" which has helped us identify milestones and retention drivers in our product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has limitations for more specific analysis.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Long loading time for reports with larger number of filters

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude Analytics for site/mobile app monitoring. It is very convenient to check API health, receipt trend, conversion rates and user journey from one step to another. We are also building dashboards in order to monitor our product health and various KPIs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a clear plan of what is needed in your organization and prepare detailed tagging plan: what events you would like to track, what information needs to be captured.
Intuitive to use platform that makes data accessible to all stakeholders
What do you like best about the product?
It is incredibly easy to create a chart and gain insights based on data without any in-depth knowledge of data analysis. It's also easy to share these charts with different members of the team all in one platform. Team members that aren't so familiar with analytics are also able to gain insights by themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it is easy to use and focuses on the creation of the most common graphs, sometimes it isn't as easy to create custom graphs or very specific edge cases. I've found that some of the features on one type of chart don't necessarily exist on a different type of chart which sometimes makes it a bit confusing to use. I'd also like to be able to group events inside a chart so that they appear under one 'data set' but as far as I have seen it isn't possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I am from a product background, I look at what users are doing inside the product, and who those users are. I was able to quickly compare an onboarding funnel from one version to the next after making a slight tweak and was almost instantly able to see that the change had made an improvement in the overall conversion of users into the product. Similarly, I was able to identify what events users were doing on their first day that stuck around for 2 or more weeks using the product and have been able to apply that knowledge to getting more users using it for a longer time.
Great ability to set up for easy access be other team members
What do you like best about the product?
Setting up charts and dashboards that answer the regular questions allows the rest of the team to get insight without my intervention. Freeing me to focus on the more difficult questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Funnel charts are great but we find we hit their limitations often. The 30 event limit mean we often split up long funnels between multiple charts. Also when building large funnels the data refreshes after every change which can slow down how quickly you can make changes. A pause refresh while making changes would go a long way here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve both business problems, and design problems with ease. The benefit of having all this data in one place is that we can make informed trade offs concerning user experience and revenue generation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great product analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
Once you're passed the initial learning curve, it is super easy to answer any question in a manner of seconds using Amplitude. I can't tell you the number of times a question has come up in a meeting and I can make a chart that quickly answers the question. I find the interface very intuitive and they have an exhaustive number of analysis types to explore everything going on in the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product does have an initial learning, but it's fairly quick to over come. The other element is learning your company's event schema. Every company structures and names their events uniquely and there's no getting around the time it takes to learn that. You also need someone on your team focused on the governance of this event data. I believe this is true of every analytics platform, but it's worth calling out here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the performance of our product. This means both the overall performance, such as high level conversion and retention, as well as performance of individual features that are launched. We also pipe this event data into our BI tool.
Valuable insights for making the right product decisions
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Amplitude is that it provides you with the wide variety of charts and tools that help in conducting a detailed investigation into the reasons for the issue you are trying to solve.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to learn how to use different chart types and which conclusions you can get from each
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using the data to understand user interaction with our product.
Powerful analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics is a very powerful tool. I can see the performance of all our products in one place and this saves us a lot of time and money. It's very fast and it can present or refresh our very large analytics data in just a couple of seconds. It's also so easy to integrate.
