What do you like best about the product?
I leverage the events segmentation and funnel analysis the most. I think the flexibility to dissect things via event/user property filters is super valuable as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to do more previous week comparisons in the Funnel Analysis vs just 1 comparison.
Also Usability Issue: In the charts, sometimes the bars are too small due to the numbers it's hard to focus on the pop -up modal.

Also I know there are more features with Amplitude and they are more confusing to use because I haven't been taught by someone about them. Would be nice to have better tutorials/onboarding
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to understand user behaviour in my product via quantitative measures. Most important to me is to understand dropoffs, and trends I can derive via the events/properties that I've added.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very valuable at dissecting your product and user funnel.

What do you like best about the product?
Quickly analyzing data sent from Segment.
What do you dislike about the product?
They don't have good debugging tools for custom formulas. If you fail to write a good one, it just tells you "unable to load the chart"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a BI tool to visualize our product usage. The best thing about Amplitude is that it plays best with Segment.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Amplitude is able to give me insights into practically everything I could want to know about user behavior on my site -- way beyond what I can get with Google Analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm always uncovering new features and aspects of the tool -- maybe there could be more guidance in the interface so that I could uncover these earlier in my journey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing funnels, diagnosing problems, getting data on user journeys

Ability to leverage our segment data to see our website performance and certain parts of our app in real-time

What do you like best about the product?
By combining Amplitude with Segment, we're able to get a full picture of our entire business performance in one place.

Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

Great Product! Easy to gather insights

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about amplitude is how easy it is to build charts, funnels, add new events, and customize events. When we release new products it makes it very easy to combine certain events if something changes, gets added, or removed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cost of the upgrade. 30-40,000 seems like a TON of money on something you may not be able to get back in returns. It was great having the 3 month trial but wish other trials happened more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First month churn, user engagement, best conversions. We have benefited a lot on understanding the best funnels are users are doing to complete a purchase. Also what areas we need improvement based on engagement and other areas we can relax on since engagement is low.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you give this tool a chance! The Freemium usecase of this tool is incredible! Can't imagine how helpful it would be if you switched to a paid plan.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude contains the ability to view data in numerous ways - totally customizable. Great customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's almost too customizable. You can go down a rabbit hole of your data without actually pulling out the insights. The platform speed could also be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helpful to view the customer journey and identify any issues we might be having with product in terms of drop off.

Setup has been a little complex but onboarding team is great

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has beautiful charts and really helpful staff! Everything is customizable which is good and bad. The onboarding team (helping to instrument the product) is really thorough and supportive. The team seems invested in giving us the time and energy it takes to get the product installed correctly. I'm not sure what happens after the initial implementation, I have reached out to the general support team once and they were fine, the onboarding team definitely holds your hand through the process more. It seems they take a "train the trainer" approach to implementation, so we may have gaps once we leave this initial install phase, but so far so good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool seems a little intense to navigate. We have some base metrics installed but need a session with Amplitude to understand how to make dashboards. Everything is customizable, there are no out-of-the-box charts. We had a super strong technical person who was involved in our sales and discovery pitches, it was my understanding he would also help us onboard but he seemed done once we signed. The team they passed us off to has been great, it was a little surprising since the sales and tech deep dives we did in the sales calls were so informed about our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed analytics with a vendor that would be HIPAA compliant. GA would not work for us, because of the security needs we have in the health space, but we needed all of the functionality of GA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This needs to belong to someone one - given their "train the trainer" approach and the investment that needs to be made to collecting data and goals in the onboarding process.

What do you like best about the product?
You get countless breakdowns out of the box, and Amplitude saves you tons of time on creating metrics for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a pretty high upfront cost to integrate your data, especially if you have several different apps sending events and you have custom metrics you care about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User journeys/flows are much easier in Amplitude than any other tool.
