Easy to create visually compelling charts and analyses from tracking data.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create charts and understand how users are behaving based on the tracking data being collected as they use an app. I also find it very helpful sometimes to look at an individual user's path. The funnel chart type is among my favourites, as is the ability to see which specific users meet certain criteria, or how they reached some events (i.e. click on a point on a chart and be able to "View User Streams"). The ability to manage user cohorts, which may be static or dynamic, has also been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent improvements have made it so that I can't find a reason to complain - perhaps a bit slow at times, but could very well be my machine at fault too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm understanding how our app is being used and what might need to happen in order to improve our KPIs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Amplitude for analysing your mobile app tracking data.
Amazing software for analyzing Product Analytics (app/web focused)
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it incredibly easy to evaluate product analytics for mobile apps and websites. It's one of my favorite tools to use to view what's going on with our product funnels and segment out based on tons of attributes (many provided with the SDK) and the ability to link our user attribute tables as well. I'd say it's got one of the easiest UIs to understand and start building complex analysis.
Amplitude has great customer support and service as well, I've had great resources when questions appeared about the product.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more integrations with A/B testing platforms. It's a little difficult to link A/B testing softwares into Amplitude beyond populating user attributes and segmenting out those users.
It's a product that works for product analytics (web/app) but it's not a replacement for core business measurement better fit to tools such as Looker or Tableau. This can make it hard to get budget since the tool isn't incredibly cheap (but still competitively priced).
Segment is pushed as the universal tool for streaming events, while it's an awesome addition I wish Amplitude had a solution for this as well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On the product side we use it for evaluating business funnels, core actions we want users to take, analyzing between A/B tests/user cohorts, and identifying areas of opportunity for us to leverage. Key benefits have been the ability for PMs to take the wheel and explore data quickly, prior to using Amplitude we were heads down in SQL or working with data teams to get analytics together. We have benefited by our exploration and have been able to identify areas for us to improve our product that would have likely been locked away in some backlog/competing priority tickets for our data science team to identify.
Terrific platform and customer care
What do you like best about the product?
I was extremely pleased with the customer care I received early days of converting our analytics to Amplitude, to help get me up to speed on the platform. Two members of the Amplitude team helped me, in great depth, to create my first charts, and from there I was able to get our teams dashboard up and running. It’s a very simple and powerful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was hard to figure out the cold start. Once I found Amplitude community website, I was quickly helped by a couple great Amplitude employees
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic dashboard creation for our social app. The platform is exceptionally strong on funnel analysis
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out community.amplitude.com and hit the chat rooms. Very responsive communities for your questions
Mostly Helpful But Seems Like a Young Company
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it's easy to create charts and visualize user behaviour. Amplitude does a good job at adding lots of charts and easy to have dashboards available to the company. I use amplitude dashboard to look at the health of the app on an ongoing basis and it's helpful to detect anomalies in the performance.
I use amplitude with segment and together they make a pretty powerful team.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how I can't export all data from all stages of the pipeline, they make it hard to extract any data from the platform. Additionally, the compass feature is nice in theory but doesn't work for determining contributing factors towards activation, exclusively retention, which isn't helpful if we are looking to gauge activation points. Ideally, we would be able to select an end result and look at the correlation that way. Also, I would love to run SQL reports on my data but this isn't available on entry-level plans so unless you are willing to spend thousands a year this doesn't make sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to detect activity levels on the platform using it in combination with segment. It's been good at detecting high-level trends but when it comes to getting to the nitty-gritty details I find it's not as powerful, this is when you would want to dig deeper into the data but since they make it hard to extract data fishing for answers is difficult.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If amplitude could help with extracting data, this would be helpful as a user. They do a good job at showing trends but not understanding patterns and the why behind it.
Must have for all product companies
What do you like best about the product?
This is by far the best product analytics tool. The UI is simple, it caters to all the product related questions all the product managers need answers to.
We found this very useful, created cohorts and funnels according to our requirements, and it was smooth after that.

What do you dislike about the product?
Quick guides on the best practices would have been a cherry on the top.
Report wise use cases alongside the UI would have helped us manage our reports, but the continuous learning helped us overcome that barrier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an early-stage startup, currently toiling hard to identify the product-market fit.
That is where Mixpanel helps us a lot. Since we are into creating and testing multiple iterations of the product, this helps in measuring if it is working, based on the baselines we have set for ourselves.
It helps us analyze the delta that each new feature deployment brings to the table. And thereby enables us to understand our users and hence the market.

Amplitude is one of my favorites services =)
What do you like best about the product?
- Free formulas for dashboards makes this service very flexible and taking advantages to other similar services.
- User look-up is very helpful in events and parameters debug sessions.
- Possibility to manage events and parameters tracking makes easier not to reach the events limit.
- Custom events is a great way to not asking developers changing current events and adding new.
- Easy to use even without relative experience.
- TV mode is really helpful for presentations

What do you dislike about the product?
- There are no possibility to set dashboards order in team space. It's a pity because it's important to have some key dashboards or most often used dashboards on top or just re-order them as team needs.
- Not really flexible way to place graphs on dashboards - grid can be more flexible.
- Limits and pricing.

Powerfull &detailed analytics for your product
What do you like best about the product?
I like features like funnels, cohorts, conversion windows. They are the best. I like how I can explore users path.
What do you dislike about the product?
Funnel and cohort features are missing parameters in events. For example I need to select users who performed event with limited parameters or special options. I think MYSQL request will help with that. Some math formulas are heavy and innocent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking performance and metrics of your game. Tracking version difference and changes. Exploring how hypotheses works.
Take Your Product Analytics to the Next Level
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude helps you understand in a realtime and from different perspectives how our products is performing, and how our users behave within the platform.
Also the fact that Amplitude Analytics has pre-defined charts as one of it's main feature, helps a lot with the product analytics for our growth and product teams.

What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that a dev team is needed to deploy and start using Amplitude Analytics. I understand why this is way, but it would be great to have some sort of "no code features to track new events or define some properties.
This would be great, because most dev teams are always busy and asking to constantly track new events o generate new properties, tends to slow down the whole process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently solving user retention, acquisition and constantly measuring user engagement. Thanks to Amplitude Analytics we know our acquisition funnel is working and how this new users are engaging with our platform.
Good service with minor defects
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in working with data, great UI/UX
What do you dislike about the product?
- not all events are recorded (accuracy),
- user paths can be better and include much more events in funnels,
- formula syntax does not support a lot of necessary operators,
- by default, incorrect active users determination - just launch the app is not enough usually to record user as an active one,
- no end-to-end analytics from marketing channels
- no integration with services like crashlytics
