Snap Amplitude Review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy layout to make things work. Dashboard has easy and most common charts that makes it easy to get things done quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
field directory / hover over field to get more info feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer transaction funnel analysis. It helps us undertand customer behaviour
Recommendations to others considering the product:
easy way for click stream analysis
Good for some things
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of amplitude when it comes to app tracking. It gives you a ton of integration options and seems to be one of the more robust options in the app space.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility also makes it overly complicated. There is no standard way of implementing so it is what you make it. We have seen some very rough integrations that make me not want to work on the product. Other times and when it is more basic the data is valid and good. Short story don't overcomplicate it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed tracking of some very specific app interactions and that is what led us to try Amplitude. We are using it for iOS and Android app interactions and product research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To use Amplitude successfully you need a really good plan and engineers with a very good understanding of the data strategy.
Analyst feedback on Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Can get insight by clicking a couple of buttons.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot debug if the numbers are wrong. Don't know how to trust the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion metrics. Validating if numbers are accurate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your company has the infrastructure to support it
Easy to use product analytics solution - Not perfect but still very great tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of setting up tracking for events. Additionally, Amplitude has some cool features for analyses that take a bit longer if done using Python/R. Definitely a timesaver if you want to take a quick look
What do you dislike about the product?
Their tool is mainly targeting more casual data users so there isn't as much flexibility in what statistical tests are used in your analyses. I would love to see more things built around data for experiments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is making data analysis more accessible to business people on the team. Without Amplitude, this would require another tool or manual work from an analyst.
Amplitude has cool features but also some annoying issues
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to see all the info surrounding an email account that has accessed our site, what they looked at last, when they last logged in, and how long they've spent on our site in total. I also love that you can compile analytics based on each email domain which is helpful for data tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that the user lookup is case sensitive. We have clients that sign in with the same account but sometimes capitalize parts of their name, which makes it hard to track accurately a user's entire user history. I also hate that for some of the analytics tools that you can only select dates as an entire week, so instead of choosing the first of the month, if it lands on a "not acceptable" date, you would have to either select the Monday that starts that week or choose to start the analytics the following monday. This messes with analytics and is annoying. Also hate that if someone uses ad blockers that we don't have information on that account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us track which users from a domain are actively using our site, which helps us reach out to those users that haven't been as active on our site. We also get to see what parts of our site get the most activity, which can help determine which features we spend more time on for upgrades.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amplitude is very user-friendly and intuitive. It provides a lot of data points that can definitely help monitor the use of your site and product.
I'm using it to help my CX team figure out what went wrong for our users and help them order.
What do you like best about the product?
Seeing all the steps our users took when logging in or ordering.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would just make it a bit more user-friendly for regular users (not analysts).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer care.
Very robust analytics service
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to slice and dice analyses and also the user lookup feature
What do you dislike about the product?
If your labeling isn't organized, easy to get confused with naming taxonomy over time and create conflicts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to understand impact of experiments
Limited Usage, Large Impact
What do you like best about the product?
Although in my current position I don't interact with this product on a daily basis I have found the data generated to be insanely useful. The ease of use is relatively high and I appreciate the multitude of ways to represent date, found this especially useful when presenting to stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slightly harder to navigate for less seasoned employees, not being directly on the data team made my onboarding with this product slightly more difficult. Possibly make tutorials and user experience information more visible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting and generating data/results from external sources into one collective database. Not all of our platforms are synonymous with each other and this allows us to merge all the data.
