Amplitude is hands-down the most user-friendly and powerful analytics tool I've used!
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean, simple and easy to understand. The segmentations and funnel options are almost infinite.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes, but it would be cool if you could see a preview of a chart when sharing an Amplitude link in Slack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to understand user behavior across our website and app.
Very helpful to get insights
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly platform and all the chart templates are very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is not that easy to use all the properties and it's impact on conversion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes very easy to get user insights without knowing SQL and other data analytics language. There are some data points that is easier and faster to get through amplitude
Robust Tool
What do you like best about the product?
So many events and data points you can track and gather information on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bit of a learning curve to fully understand how to use the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding user actions
Powerful tool but needs some tweaks/features
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to drill down and perform product analysis, and it is my go-to tool for anything that needs analysis. I also love the data table charts, which allow me to see various attributes/data points in a simple table. Although chat customer support is gone, Amplitude's customer support is A+!
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude is not ideal for creating visualizations for stakeholders or storytelling. I usually export the data and create visualizations using various methods. I really dislike that a tab is added to the data in the CSV cells when I export. I have to clean (remove the tab delimiters via text to columns) every cell before I can create formulas and charts. Finally, I wish that we could resize columns on charts while being shown in a dashboard. I work with content with long titles and in a horizontal bars chart in a dashboard, the title is severely truncated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us create the right content and delivery methods by analyzing the customers' level of engagement and identifying friction points. Also, Amplitude enables us to better understand our customers.
Best Analytics suit for user behaviour tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Great for understqanding how users are using your product and dive into their pain points, what features are driving engagement and which features are frustrating users. Easily retest your hypothesis with easy to use interface, no technical skills required and lightning fast results. Product teams are in control of the data and do not require to know complicated SQL or depend on BI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeping your data organized and consistent will require quite a bit of control as it is tempting to send every event imaginable which will later backfire. Maybe a good feature would be that Amplitude sends new detected events into review for them to be approved before going into production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is helping us find user pain points and understand what could be done to improve their experience with our app. New features can be A/B tested to ensure we are not affecting business metrics.
Analytics for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is so easy to use, any PM or engineer can get insights easily without the need for data wrangling, data engineering or data scientists. Data is available in real-time. There are also features for monitoring data, alerts, dashboard subscription and the integration with Snowflake, Segment and other features are a bonus too. SDKs are good to work with, documentation is good and the onboarding teams are great. It offers many different options of charts and dashboards. The blog postings, videos and website content about product analytics are really good to help anyone improve data analytics skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be easy to use, Amplitude lacks a bit of flexibility. There are tons of different charts and analysis, data transformation options but still can't do everything you would do using a database and SQL/Tableau. But it covers almost everything and it's just easier to centralize the data there and add the product / ux / engineering teams to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping my team to collect a lot more data than we would, were we using other traditional methods. It's also helping engage other teams and more people with product data to make more data-driven decisions.
Easily see events in a dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
One dashboard to quickly see your events. There is also a Chrome extension to see events for any page, right at the page.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to instrument your code, but that adds more insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to see what our users are doing
Real product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Real product analytics for data-informed orgs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to feed your product data into Amplitude, so you'll need organizational buy-in to make it happen at a decent pace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most product teams start by using tools like Google Analytics, but they're not made for products and they usually sample data. Amplitude helps us see the whole picture and zoom in where we need to without losing any data.
Amplitude the best friend for data-driven companies
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude, in my opinion, is the easiest tool to make charts but also to interpret them for any data-driven company. I would highly recommend it compared to any other one which are really complex and most of the time confusing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many disliking. The only chart that I find confusing is the Impact analysis which is difficult to understand because the time range that it shows is always -14 to +14 days from a starting date. But as it doesn't show the starting date in the chart, it's really difficult to use it. I hope that in the upcoming months it will be improved. Because it is one of the charts that I would use the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the problems that Amplitude helps us to solve the most are the conversions, thanks to the Funnel Chart. Thanks to it, we know at any instance which step needs most of our attention.
