Easy to use and powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
You can zoom in in the charts until reaching specific users. Charts and dashboards are automatically updated. You can create custom events grouping events and custom cohorts which are updated constantly. You can see real time activity. You can make your own charts with custom formulas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the charts do not work 100% correctly. When zooming in you may find users in a group that does not correspond or viceversa.
More custom formulas would be great to have.
Lookback is sometimes limited to 90days.
It would be great to have Cohorts automatically updated via an API (as you can do for Paying User definition), so that we could have users with property "Renewals" or "Free Trials" or "Retargeted", etc. etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversions and percentages and their evolution in time are easy to track. Amplitude tools save time and give you a pretty accurate baseline of how you're performing.
If you do A/B tests it also calculated very quickly if the variant version is better than the control, the difference and if it is statistically significant or not.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free version will give you a very good view of the tool.
Also users with no prior analytics experience can understand how the tool works, as they have really good articles with plenty of examples and recommendations for you to learn.

The most powerful data analytics tool I've come accross
What do you like best about the product?
* Extremely simple to splice and dice any kind of data due to the UI. Users without any technical knowledge can use it without any issues.
* The free plan is feature packed and covers most of the needs.
* Performance / data fetching is insanely quick.
* The blog and knowledge base provided by Amplitude is helpful not only for using their platform, but also for learning about data and analysis.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's only one minor issue we've faced so far. After you've created a chart and break down the events by, let's say, user language, Amplitude doesn't allow to select the "Top 10 languages by conversion rate", for example. It either automatically keeps selecting the x number of newest events, or you have to manually select them yourself, which makes them constant. Therefore any new best performing segments have to be re-selected manually.
Although, this definitely doesn't ruin the experience and is just a minor inconvenience.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're analysing our user's conversion rates, user composition and split test effectiveness.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For product owners and managers - I've never seen a tool so powerful yet so simple to use, considering what it's offering.
For software developers - the setup for server-side events (HTTP API) is probably the most powerful integration option I've ever seen. It doesn't take long to set up and works wonderfully!
Setup and usage is painless, it doesn't cost anything and there are no trials, so just give it a go!

Intuitive, fast and flexible analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is blisteringly fast to compute and present our data. It's also incredibly flexible, and we've been able to use it for everything from customer support to daily dashboards to ad hoc analyses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't really been able to get any value from the predictive analytics or other more complex analyses. I find the retention analytics quite unfriendly as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking daily, weekly, monthly operational and product feature performance and growth. Diagnosing user-level issues and creating highly-customized cohorts for marketing campaigns.
Convenient to use and fully meets all the requests of the product team on the basic plan.
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in setup and quick access to data
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to debug data delivery. No more comments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics on the activation funnel in the product
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't know what to answer to this question. Everything is fine. Just take and try the free version.
The best analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of UI. I tried a lot of tools: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc. And only Amplitude is intuitive from the very first moment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn’t get how to exclude some users from charts. Also, I didn’t like how much loaders I see while navigating between pages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude to analyze both mobile and web for WeGoTrip. Funnel analyses is the best way to understand how to grow my business
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s great to build custom dashboards and easy to use
Super tool to understand user behavior
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of creating user behavior charts. Cohort analysis, Funnels, User compositions & Users sessions cut across various filters
What do you dislike about the product?
Too expensive. inability to do a-b experiments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retention improvements by over 25%
Powerful but at the same time friendly and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very powerful analytics tool with a various array of data visualization options and calculations that is at the same time very easy to use even for people with no previous experience with the analytics tool or from less-technical backgrounds, as myself.
Another thing a really appreciate is the great customer support they offer and the options they have for startups or students that may not have available funds to pay high prices.

What do you dislike about the product?
My only inconvenience has been with certain limitations that there could be depending on the package you have (free versions) but it is 100% understandable and I still think what is offered is above expectations. One thing that bothers me is that we get warning notifications every single time we open any dashboard with the same message. I think it would be better to maybe just show the repeating warning once a day or every two days as it sometimes gets in the way of actual buttons or data you are trying to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of having all the information from our app, across different platforms in the same place and with it being able to analyze user behaviour, retention, funnels, lifetime value, demography and so much more. The tool has helped us have a better understanding of our business overall, identify areas of opportunity and plan for the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try. There are versions for startups that include most of the tools and options, you won't even know the difference until you have grown a lot and are tracking millions of events per month. I definitely recommend this software and is an absolute delight to use, as it is so powerful yet so friendly.
Best in class product analytics for outcome driven teams
What do you like best about the product?
Everything is live and easily interrogated by members of the team. If someone has a question about usage in a meeting, it's not minutes to get to an answer and get clarity, and we can then add that to the core team's dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a few customisation details that would be preferred, but largely superficial. It can also be slightly unclear who is on which dashboards, but again it's not a huge concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to package up usage around feature sets and have a way to create other dashboards off of that, and the problem before was doing this was really slow, and making simple changes or asking other queries were completely inaccessible to the team. Now, the team have autonomy to create their own dashboards, ask queries on the fly, and ultimately we have more clarity in our teams for how customers are using our product.
Industry Standard Product Analytics Engine
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is highly flexible and has a high level of fidelity when it comes to tracking data. I have all the skills to make expert data analyses and Amplitude has the features and reliability to make it happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe the only thing I dislike about Amplitude is the fact that the user search feature isn't more intuitive. It takes a fair amount of filtering to get it right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working on user retention and stickiness. The robust feature set allows me to run very quick analyses and get insights immediately. Even if there was an error in how our team sent the data, it's easy to compensate in Amplitude due to how robust it is.
Super Easy and Flexible Product Analytics Platform
What do you like best about the product?
- Very easy to integrate and start using.
- Everything is working flawlessly. There no unexpected behavior on the integration, report creation, or reporting.
- Even in the free edition, the report modules are very rich, flexible, and enough. So if you don't have a lot of data points and just starting with your product, then it's a good go-to product. When you go larger, they also have very strong analytical tools that you can access by moving to the paid plans.

What do you dislike about the product?
- To sign up for the platform, you need to talk with the business development representatives; which is a bummer if you don't have a lot of data points, and you know that the free product will be enough for you.
- Not a dislike but an area to develop can be scheduled reports. The dashboards are amazing, but if we can make Amplitude to send email reports in a weekly/monthly schedule, it would have been amazing.
- This is not a huge deal, but one thing that's missing for free users is the Pathfinder feature. If it would be available in the free plan, it would have been amazing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our side project, we just started using Amplitude for test purposes. The idea behind our usage was to better understand the user behavior in the product, so that we can run tests within the product to improve the usage of our product and deliver more value to our users; where Amplitude helped us a lot in that journey. Also, for non-analytical people, Amplitude is really easy to use; which also allows them to play with data and use it more when making new decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly suggest you not overthink it when implementing. But for sure, implement it via Google Tag Manager for easier management.
