  • July 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to gain insights on my product without requiring data analyst or engineering support. Simple and easy to understand! Event visualizer makes it super easy to create events to track. Reports are easy to generate. Data is constantly being collected so I can review historical data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing data on users with ad blockers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Way better understanding of product usage and helps narrow down where to focus our efforts.

Heap is the ultimate tool for analytics power users

  • July 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Heap is amazingly easy to get up and running. With a code snippet added to a page, you get incredible insights without needing to add track events throughout your application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use Heap on all of my projects where the clients can afford it. It's a really expensive price point and the tiers are really steep. I've had 3 projects use it on the free tier and as soon as we hit the max sessions, we had to switch to Google Analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating custom reports and running granular details on what our customers are actually doing.

Best tool for tracking events and funnels and segments on your website.

  • July 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can place the tag and then everything in DOM collects which you can later compile and name the elements already tracked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a bit high. I also wish the UI was a bit more updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel drop offs, time on funnel, segment sizes
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give heap a try by just place the tag.

Heap is just awesome

  • July 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best is the fact that I can go anytime to Heap and just create an event. Then Heap will return to me all the tracking data related to my new event, even before my event was created.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very often, but sometimes Heap can be a bit slow while loading reports. (But that doesn't hurt that much)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning more about the users of my web app, also learning about the impact of each feature I release to my customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboards are a bit tough to figure out

I've been using Heap for a few years to visualize the KPIs for my SaaS business. It's very easy to use and can analyze historical event data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. Heap is a very flexible platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Heap as a single platform to analyze KPIs, A/B tests, and retention metrics.

Glad I found Heap

What do you like best about the product?
I was looking for an analytics solution for my startup, and stumbled upon Heap (amongst others). I really appreciated a few features they have:

1. No need for coding/instrumentation of your site to track important events. Amazing event visualization tools allow you to define user events with ease using the UI.

2. Report generation is very understandable. I can achieve most of my reports/tasks without having to read-up a lot of documentation, or go hunting for random settings/pages where I need to configure things (looking at you GA).

3. User session visualizer allows you to see in detail how users use your product.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the features I wish Heap had, would be the ability to create composite metrics out of existing metrics. Typically that would be a ratio (e.g. EventX / EventY) that produces a simple line chart I can track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I keep discovering new use cases with Heap. Obviously gross statistics (usage, users etc..) but also how users navigate our product, and what actions correlate with higher conversion and retention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the pricing model (per # of sessions) and how that matches your usage pattern. If you have a lot of sessions with few events per session, you will hit the limits pretty quickly and it might get costly.

Very strong tool, but also reliant on HTML

  • June 27, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
I love the retroactive data Heap can provide once you tag events. I also love the ability to create reports and dashboards very easily and in many different forms. The UI is also pretty straightforward
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that it relies on the HTML on the page to track events - considering if you make small changes you are essentially on the hook for updating the events in HEAP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just understanding how folks are interacting with our website and the key pages on it. Also tracking conversion paths and funnels.

Uncomparable.

What do you like best about the product?
Heap analytics is truly unlike any other analytics software out there. I am not just collecting 100x more data on my users - I am able to put my data to work to optimize my product, enhance my customer experience, and grow my business. I've tried every competitor out there. Don't waste your time. Install Heap right away and see for yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to point out anything I dislike about Heap is the duration of the data history. 3 months is too short! But there's an easy fix. Set up a connection to your backend database to store all of the valuable behavioral data right away!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimizing my product. Increasing conversions. Lowering my cost of customer acquisition. Using data to make predictions on purchase behavior. Staying up to date with my customer's needs. Finding pain points in my product that is effecting sales.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't waste any more time with any other analytical software out there. If you want to get serious about improving your product, install Heap and get to work.

An Absolute Must For Data Driven Product & Marketing Team.

What do you like best about the product?
- Ease of use. New UI is Amazing.
- Retroactive data is a blessing.
- Ability to track actions to the click level.
- Visual builder makes defining the event super easy.
- Reporting and Funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
- It takes a portion of total traffic (because of ad-blockers and other external factors). It would be cool if they can find a way to capture that traffic/interaction as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Marketing, we use heap to understand how

- Visitors are interacting with our front-end site
- Tracking funnel conversions

On Product side:

- Product usage cohorts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are someone who loves data over intuition for decision making, you need Heap. You will not regret it. Trust me :)
