We love Heap! So intuitive and flexible
What do you like best about the product?
Heap requires very minimal technical work to product incredible visuals. The interface is intuitive with drag and drop measures. It’s easy to create measures and segments of our customer data
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap has so far been ineffective for tracking session times of our users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily track the usage of our new features by particular customer segment. We can see how engagement changes with new releases and view it all on a live dashboard
One stop for all data metrics
What do you like best about the product?
The central location of all metrics, the information for each event
What do you dislike about the product?
It's takes too much clicks to hop from one place to other
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboarding of all the use cases
The most comprehensive, have-your-back analytics tools on the market.
What do you like best about the product?
Heap's Autocapture means I don't have to worry about tagging every little click or conversion event that I need tracked, which is especially valuable when constantly optimizing pages, changing elements and A/B testing. Heap gives me the peace of mind that whatever data I need will be there.
What do you dislike about the product?
The relationship of one login only being able to access a single Heap account is honestly the most dislikeable thing about Heap. I have a handful of accounts for different domains and clients, and it would be nice to be able to access that all under a single login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A majority of the work I do revolves around user experience optimization and A/B testing. Most of the time, when I'm using Heap, it is to uncover new opportunities for testing or measuring the impact of a current/recent test. The combination of Autocapture and Heap's easy-to-use UI, saves me and my team countless hours on analysis and planning—instead we can use that time to actually run experiments and improve the site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't settle for traditional analytics tools just because they're inexpensive and have been around for decades. Take the leap into Heap—you won't regret.
Heap is a game changer for web marketing anlaytics
What do you like best about the product?
Heap tracks all interactions with your site at all times, so there is no need to set up individual events for everything upfront. I often will think of a new event to track and it is so nice to be able to create the event and have retroactive data at my fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few faults. The only thing I wish was better was the dashboard views. I would love more flexibility in the number of reports I can include and the size of the reports within the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Heap to understand conversion funnels/pathways and user behavior. Heap allows us to go beyond the data Google Analytics provides to get a more granular look at what users are doing on our site. It helps up hone our user experience and identify friction in our conversion funnels. We also use the VWO integration which gives us more flexibility and granularity with our A/B testing reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a bit of a learning curve if you are new to Heap, but they have a fantastic training video series called Heap University. It is a great way to learn the basics then just dive in and you'll figure out the reports that are most useful to you over time.
Heap makes it incredibly easy for anyone to unlock product adoption and engagement insights
What do you like best about the product?
As a non-technical user, I was able to start building meaningful dashboards in minutes. The reports I've created look amazing and are dynamic and interactive.
It's also been great how we've been able to port our Heap data into Tableau so we can create more multi-faceted reporting.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's definitely user error, but I was it was easier to create a comparative analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap has given our company powerful adoption and engagement data. As a member of our product marketing team, for example, I'm able to see how are various campaigns are contributing to adoption. I can make data analysis a part of my day-to-day job so I can understand our business and make better decisions.
We're now able to pinpoint our users by their product behavior so we can send them better resources or identify power users for beta programs, webinars, and customer referrals.

The Must Have Product Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Heap makes it easy to track what I think about and don’t think about with it’s intuitive interface and historical tracking capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly struggling, but if I had to say something it would be I wish there were an easier way to get to a free version/trial for other startup projects. Though that may have changed since we first found Heap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to solve our tracking and analytics needs for dynamically built user experiences driven by API responses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and see how much you can gain and save in development or other technology resources!
Awesome tool for tracking analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use. The design of the website is great and I appreciate how easy it is to find something as a brand new user. Customer support is also fantastic. They get back to you very quick with answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting heap data is a bit of a trick. We were using redshift for awhile which worked but there is a time delay in being able to access data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap makes it really easy for us to see how people interact with our platform.
Insights I couldn't get from Google
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to track events where I couldn't do it in GA.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very expensive. It took us a long time to make a decision because it's such a large upfront cost and a 12 month contract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking events and clicks and how it relates to purchases.
Fantastic tool for marketers
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely easy to define events. This comes in handy as a team that is constantly making changes to our website, testing things, and redefining our website events to upkeep our analytics pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data never matches up with Google Analytics, which can be concerning and always begs the question of which is a source of truth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to measure the impact of our A/B tests on our site, measure which content hubs get better engagement, and understand the behavior of our customers much more accurately.
Yes good
What do you like best about the product?
The retroactive events feature is the best thing that's ever happened to an analytics tool. No cap.
Their Event Visualizer makes it easy for anyone to set up a custom event just by clicking on a webpage element. No more inspecting an element and trying to find the right CSS selector - just point and click and boom, you've got yourself a beautiful event.

What do you dislike about the product?
You have to build all the reports from scratch yourself. Which is fine if you have experience using analytics tools, but if you're new to the game, it could be a very steep learning curve. I'd love to see some pre-built reports included in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While examining how users interact with different sections of the site based on their needs or industry, Heap made it easy for us to analyze any and all growth experiments we were running. With their retroactive events feature, you don't ever have to worry about missing data because you didn't set something up properly ahead of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Heap will make you forget that Google Analytics even exists.
I definitely recommend reviewing their tutorials and docs if you're new to analytics. But their documentation is so detailed and helpful that even the least experienced person could learn the basics within a day.
As soon as you get Heap, I highly recommend that you establish a naming convention for events and strictly enforce it.
Overall it's an incredibly powerful tool that makes it easy to make data-informed business decisions.
