SailPoint Delivers Scalable, Audit-Ready Identity Governance

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use SailPoint primarily for identity governance, and it has been very effective in giving us a clear, centralized view of who has access to what across our environment. Its strongest value for us is in access certifications, audit readiness, and policy-based controls, which are critical in a regulated enterprise.

SailPoint has also helped us automate joiner, mover, and leaver processes, reducing manual access management and limiting excess or orphaned access over time. The role- and policy-driven model supports our least-privilege goals and separation-of-duties requirements, and its integrations work well across hybrid and cloud systems.

This isn’t a lightweight IAM tool; it’s built for scale, governance, and long-term identity hygiene. For large organizations that need structured, auditable access control and sustained risk reduction, SailPoint has proven to be a solid, reliable platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our onboarding experience wasn’t the best. Our system integrator wrote custom code instead of using out-of-the-box functionality. In addition, the SI used AI to try to translate data from our homegrown IGA, and it wasn’t accurate in how it lined up the data. Then, once we were onboarded, we lost our sales rep. Shortly after that, the customer service team was turned into a pool of resources rather than dedicated support, so we weren’t given the customer support or guidance we needed. However, this has been resolved and now being supported appropriately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re now at a point where we’re consistently audit-ready, with recertification campaigns and approval reports available in a very short amount of time, instead of relying on much longer manual validation processes. Additionally, we’re speeding up our provisioning and deprovisioning activities, which helps us keep access changes moving quickly and more smoothly overall.

Streamlined Identity Management with Powerful Automation

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use SailPoint as the Identity Management System for identity, governance, and administration at my enterprise level healthcare organization. I like that SailPoint allows us to set up access automation, reducing the time spent on provisioning and deprovisioning accounts. The ability to automate these processes is very valuable, saving many hours of work and ultimately money each week. I appreciate using Role Based Access Control, which ensures that people are given the least access required and can demonstrate this to auditors. I also love the flexibility to create automation and continually build, grow, and improve it, enabling our identity and access structure to scale with the organization. SailPoint is connected to various applications like Active Directory, Entra ID, Outlook, and Epic, and it assists with all of them. The vendor provided hands-on expert help during the implementation, which was essential given the complexity of the setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
SailPoint's built-in AI agent, the Harbor Pilot, is very basic and rudimentary compared to agents like Copilot. It seems to be a work in progress still. It could be improved to be more of an Identity Copilot, with visibility into the status of connected applications and identity states.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SailPoint to automate provisioning and deprovisioning, reducing manual work and saving time. It improves identity and access visibility, enhances security with least privilege access, and scales our identity management efficiently.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It provides identity governance and connects to multiple sources across the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no straightforward licensing process, and the SAP modules are very complicated to license. Overall, there isn’t a clear structure, which makes it difficult to understand what’s needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Correlating non-managed identities and linking identities across multiple sources of truth within the business, especially in organizations with complex structures.

SailPoint Streamlines Access Automation and Strengthens Security

  • February 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint is very strong in automating processes that were historically manual and slow: access granting, permission reviews, user certifications, risk detection. This reduces human errors and increases security.
What do you dislike about the product?
In addition to the license, the cost of:

implementation,
specialized consulting,
ongoing maintenance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Excessive access and lack of control over permissions
Problem:
Many companies accumulate permissions over time, which creates risks and a lack of visibility into who can access what.
How SailPoint solves it:

Automates access reviews
Suggests appropriate permissions using machine learning
Identifies incompatible or suspicious access

Easy Access Control Across Apps with Straightforward API Integration

  • January 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint makes it really easy to control access to multiple programs. I was not involved with the implementation but with the ease of API's the integration seems to be rather straightforward. I also like that it can be setup to reach out to managers on a periodic basis to ensure access should remain or be revoked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrates SSO for multiple applications we use. It also allows RBAC which is essential to ensure access rights remain constant.

Access Management using Sailpoint

  • January 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sailpoint streamlines the process of raising requests for several access or apps for myself or my entire team.
The workflow even identifies the steps on which the request is currently at so that I can ask the respective approver to work on that effectively.I use it mostly for internal use and every time a new joiner is on-boarded. We have a set of apps and accesses needed to work on the Development team and all of it is taken care using Sailpoint. The integration is proving to be better than the usual JIRA or ITHELP requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The managers have to review who has access to what can feel old-fashioned and confusing. It can make a simple task harder than it should be. Sailpoint allows to make the tool do almost anything with custom code, that can backfire. When it's time to update to a new version, all that special code can break, creating a lot of extra, unexpected work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Raising access requests for my team is so much simpler now, I can easily request apps or permissions for myself or for multiple people at once.
What I really appreciate is how simple the workflow is. I can always see exactly where a request is stuck, which means I know who to approach next without guessing. It saves us all a lot of time.

SailPoint Makes Identity Governance and Access Workflows Effortless

  • January 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint is one of the best tools for identity and governance management. I currently use this tool in my company, and as a SailPoint developer I find it very helpful for handling access requests, policies, certifications, and many other features that I use regularly. It’s an industry-recommended tool for any company that wants to control and manage its identity workflow effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my side, there’s nothing I dislike about this tool based on my usage. In fact, it makes my work easier and helps me understand my users better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can point out more than five benefits. When I want to check whether a user needs access or not, I can simply use the certification to verify if they really need it. Using policies also helps me restrict users who are not eligible for certain kinds of actions. In addition, I can connect to multiple target applications, and for each application I can update or delete from SailPoint itself. Overall, there are many benefits in SailPoint.

Streamlined Access & Identity Management with a Clean Approval Process

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can manage access management and identity for multiple enterprise applications all in one place. The clean approval process makes it easy for application owners to review incoming requests and grant access as they come in. It also offers support and integration with a wide range of applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Sailpoint is great at providing identity management, it comes with a lot of complexity when it comes to learning the tool, implementing the base platform, and integrating it with each application. As a result, it takes a lot of cycles from both the Sailpoint and application teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an enterprise, we have many applications that are part of our ecosystem. With SaaS in motion, some platforms host multiple applications, and Sailpoint helps us manage IAM for each one. It also provides an interface for users to raise access requests. In addition, it supports audits and governance, helping ensure that no unwanted access is granted.

Identity Governance & Access provisioning made easy by Sailpoint

  • January 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like SailPoint's strong identity governance capability, which provides centralized visibility, automated access control, and auditability. These features enforce governance controls while delivering clear and auditable evidence across user access management, helping to reduce the overall risk of identity-related threats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be complex to implement in hybrid infrastructure and legacy applications. In these situations, it requires customized connectors and ongoing tuning to make it work. I wasn't part of the implementation team, but I think they spent around 4-6 months to completely roll this out to production. I guess it was not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SailPoint centralizes identity governance by automating user access provisioning and deprovisioning, which reduces manual effort. It enforces governance controls, offers centralized visibility into user access, and improves auditability. Overall, it helps reduce risk related to identity threats. We've been able to achieve success at affirm by onboarding Sailpoint to manage all our SaaS tools and Cloud environment access management. The ease of configuring the entitlement management and providing fine grained access control actually helped us to follow Principle of least privilege and have a better security posture for the organisation.
