SCW our journey to date
What do you like best about the product?
The gamification aspect, across a lot of computer languages, some vendors only offer it in one language/platform. During a tournament, developers/programmers can also compete with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning Needs Analysis at an individual even team level needs further development. Some activities do not count towards achieving higher maturity, e.g. from Beginner to Security Aware, when it clearly should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting staff to think about OWASP Top 10, log4J vulnerabilities and realising that it doesn't take as much effort as initially thought to make their apps more secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Macro learning and gamification are the most attractive features of SCW. Considering the cost of specialised courses, the annual cost per person for a corporate license, is reasonable. Do note that you need to have a clear Program and Communications Plan to get the most out of SCW. Running tournaments within and outside your organisation will be beneficial.
Secure Code is a Knowledge Quest Warrior
What do you like best about the product?
All the Trainings in this Platform seem to be Challenging and Wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to Dislike, as if we are unable to take some decision, we can get the help of a hint to answer the Particular question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the Initial C# Challenge, I tried to Solve Some Problems related to Authentication Login and Log out Scenarios. I can assume the Benefit in the Knowledge gained
The Platform was very intuitive. It was engaging and worth the time.
What do you like best about the product?
The Platform was very easy to use. Had a lot of good features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way the competitions work. A bit unfair to have a single leaderboard for different Programming languages

Security aspects in day to day coding.
Code security requires practice!
What do you like best about the product?
Provides a range of practical challenges to teach you how to look for security problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
More deep dives into technology-specific security risks or links to further reading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Updating my code with the latest technology and hybrid cloud security challenges.
Learn to code securely and have fun with SCW platform
What do you like best about the product?
It is a fun way to get people competitive and excited about learning and retaining the learning thru hands-on. I especially like the tournaments and the fact that I can use the hints, without loosing points.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the challenges have multiple answers that are subtly incorrect, which can be frustrating. Also, the admin features could be better.
Also, the UI is not too inuitive.
Also, the UI is not too inuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want all the developers to be mindful of the security vulnerabilities and susceptibilities, so they can avoid the pitfalls and make sure our product is secure. Instead of dry lectures on OWASP top 10 or any other issues we see thru our bug bounty program, our engineers can learn this in a fun and meaningful way and actually practice and implement the best coding practices.
Fun and engaging secure coding platform for Devs
What do you like best about the product?
Secure Code Warrior offers over 50 different programming languages to challenge your Developer' security skills. Secure coding exercises have been "gamified", so that practicing secure coding feels fresh and fun. Customer service is awesome -- Melanie and Laura will host tournaments for your organization (making your Devs compete against eachother!) and offer awesome swag for tournament winners.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, I think that the Secure Code Warrior platform shines at reinforcing and assessing secure coding skills but it is still improving its process of teaching a beginner secure coding skills from scratch. Short educational videos are good for explaining coding vulnerabilities and they keep the content concise, but sometimes I wish the vulnerability explanations were a little bit more in-depth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure coding practices for Developers. Getting Devs to take the initiative and realize the importance of secure coding (Security Awareness Training).
