What do you like best about the product?
The SQL workspace has improved a lot and many of the new features are very applicable to data analytic work. The machine learning module from MLflow provides a great pipeline framework for data scientist.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the work environment is still challenging. Some of the UI component can be improved, for example, I don't really like the way how the directories are displayed on the platform now because often time I cannot see the full name of the folder or files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need cloud compute to complete some of the ML and statistical model training, which is one of the major reasons we are migrating to Databricks. The way how big data is handled and managed is the key to our company success.

purquet format and its very flexible compare thotraditional data warehouse

It is a bit learning curve to get used to it. Its harder to connect the dots.

less moving the data meaning less pipelines and less errors

It includes the functionality of traditional data warehouse.

I cannot think of any downsides. It checks all the boxes for what I am looking for.

It provides a one-stop shop for structured and unstructured data and, at the same time, gives users traditional RDBMS capabilities
It is a great solution to centralized your enterprise data collection and build application on top.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We migrate our existing big data pipeline from AWS EWR to lakehouse and get rid of the dependency on the gluecontext, which is performing really well when running on the Lakehouse platform.

Eliminating the need to replicate data for both Data Science and analytics workloads.

The Lakehouse platform is an intuitive platform that makes data ingestion and consumption easy.

The Databricks Lakehouse Platform requires you to not like doing things the old hard way.

The platform is allowing us to scale our tools and data along with our company as we grow.

It's unified and provides a great way to have all the data and model code in one place.

It does not include containerization in an application-level.

Makes It Easy to Connect Various Data Sources in a Unified Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Lakehouse makes connecting data from a variety of sources very straightforward and allows our teams to easily merge datasets and annotate data. This makes our processes much more streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be advantageous to have support for various types of developer tools; our use case is internal API development, and it would be beneficial to have the ability to test how schemas can affect downstream API endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Uniting data from various sources, creating data pipelines, and annotating data using the Bronze / Silver / Gold DLT feature has been extremely helpful to us in our application development.
