How has it helped my organization?
FireMon's real-time compliance management is good.
The ability to evaluate the overall security measures of our organization is beneficial. However, not essential for small to medium-sized companies like ours. These features are also provided by OEMs. For example, Palo Alto and other firewall solutions offer similar features on their devices. This includes the ability to identify unused or excessively permissive rules.
Generating compliance reports is a straightforward process. These are auto-generated reports that are produced once we forward our traffic to the SIEM devices. The devices automatically generate standard compliance reports that we can customize if necessary. This feature is advantageous because it saves time and ensures that the necessary reports are generated.

FireMon can impact the cleanup of firewall rules in a large enterprise environment. With FireMon, it is possible to view shared rules and assign tasks to different users within our team. Additionally, tagging is available which allows us to easily revisit and save alerts on these rules. This feature is particularly useful for large organizations.
FireMon helps save us significant time by accurately creating, approving, and deploying firewall policy rules and eliminating duplicate rules.
FireMon helps us identify errors in misconfigured policies by displaying the errors in the dashboard allowing us to remove those rules.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of FireMon is its ability to configure multiple devices and consolidate them into a single desktop, which allows us to manage all of our security devices, such as Palo Alto and Zscaler, from one place.
What needs improvement?
The training for configuring new users or operators is confusing because the UI is not user-friendly and has room for improvement.
The technical support team's responsiveness needs improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using FireMon for one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
FireMon is extremely stable with zero downtime.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
FireMon is scalable. The scalability is based on the number of licenses.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support team is not promptly addressing any issues. As a result, it can take some time to have the tech engineers available when we require features to be enabled or configurations to be updated.
How was the initial setup?
FireMon's initial setup is straightforward. Three individuals from our team and one engineer from FireMon's team participated in the deployment.
What about the implementation team?
The implementation was completed by the professional services team.
What other advice do I have?
I give FireMon a nine out of ten.
I recommend that prospective users thoroughly familiarize themselves with all the features and capabilities of FireMon before configuring it. This will help ensure that no features are overlooked and that all features are utilized correctly.

Checking and keeping an eye on network access change and sending notifications for the same which also help us being compliant

What do you like best about the product?
Before FireMon, we struggled to manage multiple firewalls one by one while managing many enterprise firewalls. FireMon helped save time and resources by consolidating all firewalls via the single management dashboard and centralized policy pushes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to mention and if the price can be lower than the current pricing, it would be much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FireMon saves us time and resources a lot with its consolidated, flexible and centralized dashboard and policy management. Also, it helped a lot with our security compliance processes like PCIDSS.

I have been hsing it since past 5-6 years but i do not have any complaints. Best tool and very useful tool

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Firemon is its capability to reduce the risk and it's accurate and fast changed towards the optimization. Apart from that the pricing structure is what attracts me the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little negative can be the accuracy of the risk detection or reduction. The Firemon can further optimise to reduce the risk over 95% which is currently around 90%.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FireMon solves the major problem of security threats. It helps to improve security operations as well as the outcomes. It helps to reduce the risks, manage the changes and enforce them.

Customize report of Data usage we can't dawnload in FireMon Security Manager.

We can control NAC, Device usage, monitor device behaviour by deploying FireMon Security Manager.

What do you like best about the product?
FireMon Security Manager can be personalized in many ways when your own queries can be written and controlled by you. We choose to ensure that our guideline matches the compliance criteria and get some extra steps in certain cases to ensure that we are safe to create custom reports or to use the pre-built layouts. Also, Firemon offers many choices for user interfaces and it provides some user-friendly frameworks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many manual fields can be filled for the Firewall laws of FireMon Security Manager, such as database audit information and when it was last audited. This is great but if it is deleted, it can not be applied again. It has happened to us and we ran into some problems, so it should be managed in a safe and efficient way. Also, you will need to add additional components to show the FireMon Security Manager full capacity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FireMon Security Manager is mostly used within the IT department for the administration of firewall schemes, for policy analysis, and incorporation into the CAB certification process. It offers further tools that are enabled by the firewall needs and that has allowed us to find and resolve some problems quickly. We will continue to check our firewalls with FireMon to find any vulnerabilities that could contribute to a safety audit issue.

Firemon is a tool I can highly recommend to companies that need a controlled system with compliance and reporting requirements.
