What do you like best about the product?
I use Ubuntu for software development and I find it solves problems of complexity, cost, and security by being a free open source. I like that it is user-friendly and serves as a great entry point into Linux. The software availability on Ubuntu is something I enjoy as well. The graphic user interface is clean, and the initial setup was very easy without any problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software Installation: While the snap package system makes apps easier to distribute, many users complain about slower startup times and larger disk usage compared to traditional. Consistency in the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu solves complexity, cost, and security issues with free open source; it's user-friendly, a great Linux entry point, and has good software availability.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using ubuntu across most of my systems and it has been extremely stable and lightweight. Its easy to install, resource-efficient and comes without unnecessary bloatware. Being open source, its highly customizable , i can easily modify the system, add services and even tweak UI elements without much effort.
Ubuntu works especially well for development and AI/ML workloads. Its has excellent support for pythons, Docker and framework like TensorRT and JAX. The terminal APT package management and GPU driver support make day-to-day development and automation smooth and reliable.
with strong security, good vendor compatibility and long-term support releases, ubuntu has become my go-to operating system for development and research.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes driver compatibility can be challenge, especially with certain hardware like wi-fi adapters or graphic cards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu solves key challenges around system stability, security and operational consistency across environments. It provides a reliable, long-term supported OS that works seamlessly for automation, containerization and cloud-native workloads.
With strong package management, predictable updates and native compatibility with tools like Docker, kubernetes , CI/CD pipelines and major cloud platforms, ubuntu reduces operational overhead and minimize environment-related issues.
This helps our teams deploy faster, troubleshoot less and maintain a standardized, secure infrastructure across all the environments.

Stable, Secure, and Feature-Rich OS for technical people

  • December 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Ubuntu in the past in my previous role. It is safe, secure, and works better for testing compared to many other operating systems. It is easy to use once set up, simple to implement, and integrates well with most development and testing tools. Community and documentation support are strong. I used it frequently for testing because it is stable, reliable, and offers a wide range of features needed for day to day technical work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I specifically dislike, but it can be a bit challenging because not everything can be done with buttons and clicks. You need a basic level of scripting knowledge to work with Ubuntu. That said, for people who enjoy scripting, this actually makes it more powerful and enjoyable to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu mainly solves security and flexibility. It is a secure, user friendly software that allows me to configure the system the way I want, without being limited to very few options like other operating systems.

It offers a wide range of compatibilities and is very user-friendly, making it accessible for people with little to no experience as well as those with more advanced backgrounds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn't much that I dislike. If I had to pick something, it would probably be the music, the player, and some of the features in graphic mode, which I find a bit annoying. Other than that, everything else is pretty cool.

Primarily focused on managing web servers and installing web services and pages, this tool gives me greater and more secure control over my setup.

Efficient and Lightweight, But Needs User-Friendly Improvements

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Ubuntu for daily operations and coding. It's a better and more convenient environment for coding and helps use various toolkits with greater compatibility. I like that it's very lightweight, efficient, and doesn't have any bloatware. Ubuntu increases the flexibility of work and there are certain libraries in web development which are only compatible without errors in Ubuntu (Linux).
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be made more user-friendly. Like while installing packages, it's not very easily recognizable which packages already exist, which version they're on, and their path, causing multiple clashes and confusions in environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu provides a better and more convenient coding environment, enhances toolkit compatibility, and supports web development libraries without errors. I find it lightweight and efficient, boosting work flexibility.
