Float for Post Studio Scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
Float is fast, fluid, and certainly an upgrade over spreadsheets and many other scheduling software options. For basic functions, it's fairly intuitive and presents data visually in a clear, digestible way.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found Float to be lacking features that we and many others consider "industry standard." For example, a native "right of first refusal" system. Float's flexibility allowed us to create workarounds, but they're finnicky and tedious to implement. Customer Support seemed receptive to feedback and feature suggestions, but we've yet to see the most important ones implemetned. Though I should point out that they did implement another feature I suggested.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a clear, customizable view of our studio's schedule and calendar in a way we appreciate.
Float making scheduling easy!
What do you like best about the product?
For a company that has multiple offices and a ton of projects its great that i can assign staff to projects/offices and easily filter to view only applicable staff/offices. I also like that you can assign specific hours to tasks utilizing project numbers to easily view workload for an individual for the week. This program is used everyday by all company staff.
Float was implemented company wide with a very informative tutorial provided by company staff. Integration of this program from our previous google doc method was seamless.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that the only thing i dont like about float is the fact that it looks busy on the interface. A lot of information, colors, and text make initial viewing a bit overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Floats helping solve company wide staffing organization. It makes it easy to see who is assigned to what project and how many hours they are scheduled for the week.
Best activity tracker
What do you like best about the product?
Interface, it is pretty simple to use, to fill my activities and to log it into the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to dislike, I think it is a very good app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time tracking and its reports shows me activities that I'm stuck into it, it shows me where I need help or what I need to improve.
Best software to mark our login hours / task
What do you like best about the product?
the best thing about Float is its very user-friendly. I use float every day it is very easy to implement. There are many fields to mark your task and you can even schedule hours according to your requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, the float server used to lag a lot , but as the time passed I don't face this issue anymore
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The scheduling is easy and it makes it easier to pull the reports and view the assigned hours dedicated to each project monthly. we can even schedule " Out of office" hours on float that helps to keep track of hours that the company did not utilize. The time tracking is very useful feature too.
Useful for Resource Management, But Not User-Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the color coding options. It makes it really easy for our team to view people's schedules and organize the information in a way that makes the most sense to us. Organizing our schedules based on clients and assigning colors to each one makes it easier to see allocations in Float.com. The color coding helps us make decisions more quickly since we can view the schedule in this way, organizing it in our brains more easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's the most user friendly at first. We switched from another resource management tool that everyone was able to understand really quickly. I think there's a lot of tabs that kind of feel like they do the same thing, but you're only able to do certain actions when you're in a certain view or on a certain page. So that can be kind of confusing. We tried doing a Monday integration, and that didn't work. It was actually quite challenging. We had a Float.com representative that tried to kind of onboard our team or prep our team, but I think we tried to implement it before we were really ready. So overall, the company struggled a lot with the implementation, and we didn't find the Float.com rep to be all that helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Float.com to manage resource allocation and project future needs, organizing team availability to see bandwidth and hiring needs clearly.
An easy to use scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to look at company-wide scheduling across different departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I don't like about Float

Float is helping when planning different projects among different contributors.

I like using float to see everyone's schedule and make changes in my schedule quick.

I don't like how you can't remove your approved PTO.
