Makes Work Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I can see exactly what's on my week - and the coming weeks up ahead. It's easy to plan my time with a detailed yet fluid system. At our advertising agency things change all the time, and Float enables us to keep on top of things. It's software that's embedded in our daily working lives, helping us to plan workload and keep teams in check.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a way that people would see that I was in need of help if I was overbooked my daily allowance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps our team to understand what we're all working on as a team - and as indivduals. I really like that I can see exactly what's on my week - and the coming weeks up ahead.

i like being able to see everyone's schedules, and to sort and filter in different ways

Capabilities are limited to certain user types, so it can be difficult to fully understand and take advantage of the platform if you have limited features

I like that I am able to view project and resource allocations across my entire company and sister companies.

When there are too many projects with long names assigned to me, the names can get cut off

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity to visualise which of the team members are scheduled on each project at each time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some filtering options do sometimes create some conflicts when trying to visualise the correct data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is a very simple way to have visibility of which team members are scheduled on each project at a time, and allow to easily calculate sprint capacities.
By knowing in which other projects team members are working on at a specific time, it makes it easier to reach out to other Project Managers in order to re-adjust schedules if needed.

Easy to digest and see my schedule quickly

Nothing to note. I do not use float enough to have a negative point

I wish there was a dark theme. The way to mark tasks completed changed and it's weird now.

The design is lacking, it feels like it lacks a certain premium quality.

Resource Managers Dream
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the interface is to understand and play with, very easy to move resources around and see what is coming in the pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could archieve people on projects easily. We have projects that spam over months at a time and resources can change week to week. When you try to sort by project a number of profiles that even briefly touched the project appear and cause clutter. The only way to clean it up is to removed them from the project which very tetious and deletes any history on the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to see what all resources are working on from a birds eye view, allows for the ability to plan and see what is in the pipeline. Helps highlight when we need more or less resources.
Not loved by my whole team, but I like it and it's features
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate all the features it has for categorizing the work. By project, by phase. The different colours to differentiate bookings. The overbooked visual warning.
What do you dislike about the product?
The format is not as liked by my whole team. Developpers don't like it, but the creatives like it. So I think some of that is bias based on work style / personality type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me understand the teams availability, and I can compare resources. I also like that I can see their other bookings, so I can reach out to other teammates if needed to shift their bookings.
