Game changer for my business.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hugely adaptable and powerful. The interface is intuitive. Great use of permissions, departments and reports.

We actually use it as a sudo booking system. It's completely streamlined our workflow and has saved us an incredible amount of time. The support is excellent and prompt due to remote working world wide. There is always someone available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally there are some updates that either changes or removes some functionally that we use. There are always easy workarounds but it can be a bit frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were scheduling lessons using mac calendar before. We regularly found conflicts, problems with integrating with Windows/Android etc. Float was so easy to setup for the way we use it. And has continued to deliver scheduling genius!

Usability Shines, But Mobile Experience Needs Improvement

  • February 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Float's usability really good, making it a preferred choice for continuing its use. The ability to schedule and plan team projects gives visibility into future workloads, providing employees a clear understanding of upcoming tasks. Additionally, report generation is seamless compared to our previous vendor, simplifying our processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find a few features missing in Float that hinder my work efficiency. Notably, the inability to see how much of the budget has been burned and the lack of a comprehensive bird's eye view hamper project progress tracking. Additionally, the restricted access to copying only a week's worth of data, rather than a broader timespan like fifteen days, limits my flexibility in managing project timelines efficiently. Furthermore, the mobile view presents a significant challenge; it is cumbersome to use and not user-friendly for time logging, which forces me to resort to using the desktop version for timesheet entries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Float to track time efficiently and plan projects, offering visibility into future workloads and easy report generation. However, it lacks comprehensive budget tracking and has limited viewing options, needing improved mobile functionality.

Very intuitive software for tracking time

  • January 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As the Float administrator for my organisation, Float is very easy to provide training on as it is very intuitive to demonstrate how to track time to my colleagues who use it to track the time they've spent on projects and tasks.
The layout is very easy and the process to schedule time and log time is also very easy as well.

When we run the end of month reports, there's very little chasing up of incorrect hours logged as the staff here have done their time sheets correctly.

The software looked very easy to implement as we didn't use any SSO integration to run the platform. Staff here use Float accounts and find it quick to log in.

The Customer Support is also good and efficient. I had a ticket resolved in 20 minutes over the web chat
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can see.
We do use the platform very simply without too many layers to our processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an organisation that utilises project management to track our resources for project management, service management, programming, business analysys and more, we rely on Float to track the time spent on projects so that we can report this to our board to see if we are utilising resources correctly across different and simultaneous projects.
We need a solution that is quick to train on as we don't want staff who already have massive workloads to then have to log their time in a tedious platform. Float really solves this issue for us.

Good but a bit tricky in modyfing scheduling for short task

  • January 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A friendly user experience, drag and drop, calendar view
What do you dislike about the product?
When you need to change a schedule of 2 or more days, an action is required to "cut" the days completely.
It would be nice to visually shorten a task schedule by reducing the task rectangle, not necessarily changing the number of hours in the modal window, as is currently the case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anyone at the moment

    Design

Float is easy to use, and the UI is clear to understand
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not super customizable for specific cases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding where our resources are allocated and using time tracking to see if we're allocating correctly.
