Perfect tool for your projects
What do you like best about the product?
Float has a very easy interface that can be mastered in a few minutes. The tool is very definite and orderly and allows you to plan projects in the long run.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, it sometimes freezes and the editing tools stop working properly (for example if you are scrolling down to the end of template with projects tool for editing the project are being cut)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps in supervising current and planned projects, which is applied to maintaining some order in project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for easy project management software then Float is for you.
Easy to use scheduling software
What do you like best about the product?
Float is really simple and effective scheduling tool that helps us manage our projects and workforce. Our guys are remote and on customers sites a lot so the fact they can log in on the internet and see their schedules is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to colour code tasks as well as projects but that is a minor point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have simplified the management of the schedules and allowed better visibility, especially out of the office. It is now quicker and easier for us to assign team members to tasks and inform them,

- Unable to sync with our previous planning board so we had to manually update Float with all bookings for all resources
- There is no location option for bookings that's fully visible

Check that you can integrate float with your current planning board/ booking system to make the data entry and setup easier.
Project Management and full utilization
What do you like best about the product?
As a consultant, my job requires me to work on different projects at the same time. So planning for different customers with individual tasks is key to succeed in the IT world as a consultant. Since we are all scattered around Germany (mostly at a customer facility) the best part about Float is that the whole team can see where I am and for what customer I work at a specific time. That's key for the upper management to see who is available at what time and could work for a new customer. That's what's so great about float, the aspect that it works for a company with multiple projects and different customers at the same time. It is a tool to guarantee the full utilization of the whole team at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Float is perfect for the things we do with it. There is nothing that bothers me personally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float solves for us the problem of planning to reach a full utilization of the team.
Using float for roadmaps
What do you like best about the product?
I like the sleek, minimalistic UI. Which is easy to read, and pleasing to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's disconnected from the other applications that we use, so it isn't in the natural flow of work to go to float and either allocate people or as a developer to check and see what you are assigned to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning for what devs do often seemed to chop and change throughout weeks, thoroughly frustrating devs. Float helped management put what developers were going to be doing down on paper and helped developers know what they were doing in the future as well as what their fellow team members were allocated to as well. However, some management have stopped updating Float with the resource allocation, so it doesn't seeem to have worked as

Float allows for easy capacity management of employees. It's simple, no frills.

The functionalities are limited and the visuals could be improved.

Employee resource capacity management. This enables easy knowledge at all levels of resources who are available or not.

What do you like best about the product?
Online real-time drag and drop, phone app

Having to always have the hours showing in each booking, would be good to have option to knock this off

Different views enable seeing months in advance as well as day by day
Review of Float
What do you like best about the product?
I like the overall performance you gain from Float. If you know which person is not in-house you can just work around these obstacles. Additionally you get an overall overview who is working on which project for instance. It makes my life so much easier and more productive. It also reminds you if of meeting you have in the following week and which tasks need to be done beforhand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have, to be honest, nothing bad to say about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can work much faster than before. After knowing each meeting or people, who are working at home, it builds a better working environment in the office itself.
Project management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to visualize the hours spent on projects each day makes planning simple and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to add multiple people to one task if it requires collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helpful to make sure that employees aren't being overworked (working more than 8 hours, for example) and helps us create reports about how much time is spent on each project.
