Great software for planning but missing some features.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the possibility of having a global view of the activities and the possibility of having a fast (very fast) synchronization with the Outlook calendar. Furthermore, it is really useful to assign different roles to people in order to define planning permissions.
Also like the possibility to define different project and client for a better organizzation of the tasks over the people of the team

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't relaly love the graphic style of the calendar / schedule view. Hiding over the weekend it is difficult to see at a glance the separation between the various weeks. Also there is no translation of the portal in Italian, not a serious deficiency, but if there were it would be better :)
It also lacks the ability to view your schedule in a daily agenda format in order to have a more precise schedule of your commitments, as you can do through outlook.
I think also that a daily email with a recap of the daily schedule can be useful for improve the work.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. Only positive impressions has left after using it. It's very easy to learn to use and even thought the design is simple, there are some handy tricks going on that optimizes your workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were no a single thing which was drastically bad.
Except one thing: I would love to have there more access levels. My management is using it for managing an increasingly large group of people and they need them to be able to edit anyone's schedule in their Department. Currently there is only "Project Manager" or "Member" and neither one suits the needs perfectly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our "team" have more 100 people working on around 30 plus projects at a time. Many of these people work across multiple projects simultaneously and quick look and management tool is necessary for this. It's difficult to plan their capacity and delivery timescales in such an surroundings, and at the same time Float makes this about as easy to do and as transparent as it could be. A Big Gratitude to the whole team of Float!

Simple Schedule and Project manager
What do you like best about the product?
My company tried using Asana for about a year and found it too complicated to get everyone on the same page.
Then we went fully manual, by switching to spreadsheets for schedule and project management.
Float finds a nice middle ground of simplicity and interactive UI. It's great that managers can view everything from a project view and makers and creatives can look at just their own schedule. Plus the option to subscribe to an actual calendar format makes it easy to view our schedules on the go from our phones and personal devices.

What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a way to specify what TIME of day things need to happen. When viewing from a subscribed calendar, every event is an "all day event"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps understand our teams resources. Different people can view in a format that is useful for them. This has resulted in less overtime and more clarity for our makers and creatives.

Float is leading our decisions
What do you like best about the product?
Float has a lot of features, but one of the most important is the dashboard to overview our projects allocation in one page. It's easy to understand where our team is working on and some possible work gap in our future schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Float has a lot of report options. However, in our company, we always track the Earned value management for our projects. Currently, Float does not support this report. Then, we need to calculate it in an external software. We already got in touch with Float and it's on the track to be developed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps us to have an overview of our company allocation. It's easy to understand how many people are allocated and available to work on new projects. We use this information to help our commercial area and project management to predict gaps in work and help us to improve the accuracy of our project. Last but not least, using Float we can track our project budgets and always be aware of its financial healthy.
