Simple and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Clean user interface which is easy to navigate around. You have a good overview of the team and their current responsibility at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
too much scrolling to the left is required sometimes. Can be a bit lag at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps to let me plan ahead on my upcoming project and task.
Not as suited fo rour industry as we would like as we aren't using the project features

The easy, intuitive nature makes this easily adaptable across a large team

Pretty straight forward, what it does it does really well.

Somewhat limited in features and functionality. Not the most flexible tool out there.

Try and use it the way it's set up. Trying to make it work using whatever your used to could cause problems
User-friendly, great for scheduling our projects
What do you like best about the product?
We adopted Float for logging time on projects, and that's great - but the most useful feature has been project scheduling. Being able to see what everyone is on (across offices, across the globe) each week is incredibly useful for better visibility and planning.
I recommend if you use Slack, to get Float integrated - it lets you know what you did that that day and what's coming up.

What do you dislike about the product?
Tasks- we use tasks to help break up the subtasks in our projects - but they automatically order A-Z. even numbering these, you get to 10 and then 11 won't go numerically after, it will shift to: 1, 11, 2, 3, 4.... and so on! We can figure a way around it I'm sure, by numbering maybe 00001, 00002, etc.
We also miss the checklist features we had with Trello - would be great to see a feature like this added for projects!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Time tracking on projects, to help us better identify where we've underestimated or got it right.
- Improved visibility on our global resourcing across our teams.
- Time tracking on our client incidents, for us this is useful as before we used float we weren't keeping tabs on how much resource time was spent not only during the incident, but in the wrap up and reporting afterwards.

Figure out your process for breaking down projects and tasks first before trying to apply it to Float.

What do you like best about the product?
Float is visual, easy to use and provide the at-a-glance overview we need to effectively track and manage our teams workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike about Float - but if it integrated with our accounting/timesheeting software that would make life much more simple!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning jobs and tasks to the team, easy to see current and coming weeks in one go, helps to manage priority of work. It removes a lot of questions about what the expectations are for the team and what the next task or project will be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to understand the options for personalisation, watch the videos for setup which are very helpful and informative.

I like how easy float is to use and how there is options to choose between user, project, etc.

It makes it easy to see what everyone else is working on in order to schedule better. It also helps track time

It is an intuitive and easy to use software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really try to think of a con, but really I haven't encountered one. Maybe adding comments to scheduled tasks would be a nice idea.

Sync between team members is optimized because of Float.

If the main reason is to synchronize, then I'd definitely recommend it.
