Float is a helpful scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to see what projects myself and others are booked on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation could be better via scrolling.

Easier scheduling.

Able to let the team know when I have a low workload, plan on taking leave or when I have no availability.
Nice and effective way to forecast!
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and you'll be able to plan hours over time. That way you'll have a quick overview on how much time somebody is planned.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to see milestones in a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Float we're able to plan ahead and create easy to read capacity-reports.

If you're looking for a simple to use online platform where you can plan people on projects, Float can help you!
A great product.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the connection between time scheduling and time logging – it really minimises the amount of work to be done for each individual to log time, and lets users focus on the difference between projected and actual time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm based in Australia and the public holidays need to be updated. Also, I'm booked on a lot of projects and it's be great to have more flexibility in colour-coding in the schedule view, so they don't all look the same. :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think everyone's getting more consistent at logging their time because Float has made it easier and quicker. Scheduling has also become more streamlined too due to the multiple birds-eye views over the organisation's time that Float provides.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend popping through and double-checking that all of your localised public holidays are in the schedule.
Floats like a butterfly! Easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the colours and how Float displays the overall info. Also the reports are quite useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can not import a calendar to get information from, for instance, Google Calendar.

We have now the control of what is happening with each project/person in a simple view.

Easy to use, helpful and multi-screen... it's definitely a best-in-class in resource planning.
Thanks to simple drag and drop features it's very easy to organize and visualize tasks and planning. All the team can see our schedule and we can see what each other is doing.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to synchronize a whole team on a single task. We have to create fav with people of the team to easily have access to their schedule. If not, we lose them on the next log in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I spend less time organizing my tasks, and more time to actually do them. It's a time saver and I can easily track my times on a daily basis, making it more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate longer... Float is really a time (and money) saver

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and use without any training required. Clean interface that makes it easy to view and update resources assigned to projects. Love the ability to easily drag to extend duration of tasks assigned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be great if there was a better integration with our timesheet tool (Xero) to populate timesheets automatically based on plan in Float.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float has been a game changer in effectively managing our resources across projects. We now have a clear view on our resource pipeline and it’s allowed project managers to better utilise team based on availability and make more informed hiring decisions. Everyone can see what people in the team are working on, which has been super handy now the team is working remotely.
Easy project and forward planning
What do you like best about the product?
Float has made managing our teams much easier. Everyone now knows what they’re meant to be doing, but we all can also see what everyone else is doing, which helps with forward planning. The weekly task reminder emails are also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if it let us store project documents and Share details, but that’s about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float lets us manage our own time better and oversee project time more easily, letting us better forward plan and manage hours/costs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot. It can take a while to find out how to best use it, but once you’re set up it really does help.
