with a busy schedule, float is great for organizing
What do you like best about the product?
i love how it keeps me organized and i can see everything laid out.
What do you dislike about the product?
having to scroll through the other employees to get to my schedule is kind of tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to see which project is important, how long it lasts throughout the week and how long to work on a certain project. It helps me prioritize things better.

Could be more useful integrated with a task manager

Solving team resourcing time, and has helped to keep projects within budget
Best Easy to Use Visual Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
We love the ease of use of Float to visualize our team's schedule. It allows us to quickly see how our people are resourced and make adjustments on the fly with the draggable task blocks. It was extremely easy to set-up and implement with our team and projects–no tutorial or laborious how-to required!
What do you dislike about the product?
We only use the basic features so there's nothing I can think of that we dislike. I wouldn't mind a sleeker or more customizable interface though :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to essentially self-manage projects without having to have a dedicated PM on staff.

simple and straightforward user interface. Fast and responsive.

I would prefer to have the ability to adjust repeat tasks' future occurrences without impacting historical allocation.

A great product which helps everyone to see and understand flow of projects in and out of the agency.
What do you dislike about the product?
It didn't seem to have a way to integrate into our timekeeping software. This would be helpful

Workflow and forecasting are now much easier.
Integral part of our internal production process
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity and immediacy of the timeline interface is massively important for digesting and understanding an often hectic and clogged schedule. Customisation of clients, projects and tasks means that we can see, at a glance, exactly what clients and projects we are working with - it takes a lot of the project management stress out of the process for teams like mine, who need to focus on their own tasks at hand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be more options to input information within the tasks in a schedule - although there is a notes section, it would be great to see more integration with other platforms like the Google suite (Drive, slides, docs) that could streamline our process even more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float has honestly been a game changer for our studio and as a result, the wider business. The minute we first started using the platform, it transformed the way we visualise our busy schedules and communicated with the wider teams about our availability and timelines. It's made our lives easier and simplified the overall production process - taking a lot of guesswork and confusion out of the equation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a trial - you'll likely be impressed by the simplicity of use as well as how much it can aid your day-to-day even by giving you a clear and concise overview of exactly what you have scheduled.
Using Float for three years running
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and the interface is clean and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The iPhone app is clunky and slow. If this was improved the user experience would be much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this for booking editors in our post production team for commercial and internal jobs. We can add links to briefs in the notes field which makes life easier and we can create projects using job codes provided from our production team.

sometimes reaction time for moves is a bit slow

scheduling staff in a rapidly changing environment. We need to respond to rainfall, creek flow, tide times, staff availability, customer demand - the list goes on. Float enables staff to schedule their own time, and for managers to oversee it

Easy project overview
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to see my projects laid out for the days, weeks, and months ahead. Its UI makes it really seamless and easy to get all of the necessary info I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The path from the timeline view to my personal user information which features project reporting is a little clunky, but that's all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a user of Float rather than a PM, so for me it's all about planning and managing my own time ahead of schedule and Float captures all of that information for me really easily and simply, making planning and flagging anything in my timeline really easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm sure as a PM it's great, but from an everyday user perspective it allows me to have a robust snapshot of all of my incoming work and allows me to keep track of time and projects I've been on for reporting purposes.
Easy to use and set up for teams/organisations to collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
Adding users and basic set up is easy - adding new projects and moving bookings throughout the week, this gives us visibility of what is happening across teams
What do you dislike about the product?
Splitting bookings can be fiddly, would also be good to be aware of new features in the pipeline.

Scheduling projects across teams, ensuring we have the most up-to-date information.
